  1. Silencio it is just the way they operate. I am having hard time finding out whether private debts are even included in israeli pcc. I guess since they are being sent directly to the embassy (who forwards the pcc to the CO) no one has seen them and there are no samples online.
  2. Not many, Bobby, I suppose. The trouble with Israel is that they won't send you the pcc, they send it to the embassy of Australia in Tel Aviv so you don't know if there's anything to be worried about.
  3. Thanks for your input, no haven't been to court. I phoned the cable company today to ask for the status and they confirmed that there was a debt and that it is being handled by their legal department. Will have to call the legal department tomo and inquire.
  4. Hi, I'm sorting my documents to front load them before my invitation expires but there is a problem with a police certificate from Israel - have lived there for a few years. I have an unpaid bill for cable and am wondering whether the CO will frown upon that. The original debt was made 6 years ago due to the mistake that was made by the cable company but they're denying they're wrong and keep telling me I need to settle it. However during the course of time, the bill has inflated and I would really prefer not to pay. My main concern is: 1) in such cases does CO ask for clear PCC (meaning I have to settle debt and then get the police to clear my record - the process of clearing the police record in Israel is very time consuming), or 2) does CO ask for proof of payment to the cable company without PCC necessarily being clear, or 3) does CO neglect such non-criminal points in one's record? Any experiences?
  5. Why don't you go ahead and ask EA for advice? They are kinda slow but they do answer emails and if you are in a hurry maybe you can give them a call.
  6. There have been cases where people applied as ETs and later they have been asked by EA if they would like to be recognized as PEs according to the facts from their applications.
  7. Try to find definitions of technologist and p.eng. in EA booklet and compare them to your work experience.
  8. Dmitri, I had 65 points and the invitation took 5 days only so I imagine with 70 points it will be like a day ;-)
  9. Hi Wrussell, thanks for your reply. Excuse my ignorance, what do you mean by "demming date"?
  10. I have created an account to submit EOI in Skillselect but got stuck with work history. I have about 8 years 4 months relevant post graduation experience in an engineering field. I also have a positive skills assessment from Engineers Australia, however I do not have an assessment of "relevant skilled employment". I believe I have all the right documents listed in subclass 189 document checklist which is issued by DIBP: employment references, contracts, pay slips, tax returns, bank statements, letters of termination. The question is: Does DIBP deduct a few years from everyone's experience (like ACS does) no matter what evidence one may present? Should I put one year of my relevant experience as non-relevant just to play it on the safe side? If yes, would I be getting questions from CO as to why a year in the company is not relevant and other years are? Would it be considered "misleading information" as it pertains to DIBP terms and conditions? p.s. I am not in need of an extra year, nor am I in hurry to get invited (the only difference would be 65 vs 60 points and an invitation round ahead).
  11. Some countries won't send PCCs to the applicant though. Instead they ask for the address of an institution requiring the PCCs. If CO hasn't been allocated, how does one know where to instruct the police dept to send the PCC?
  12. Both me and my wife have lived in two different countries in last 10 yrs time. Currently we are living together but several years ago each of us lived in different countries. For visa 189, we know that the initial entry date is defined by the date of your PCCs. Since the two countries in which we previously resided take several months to issue PCCs, we are considering seeking PCCs early on, before we apply for visa. However, we are afraid that if the PCCs are issued this early, it might cause a (perhaps unnecessary) constraint on our visa - we would be required to enter Oz by the earliest of dates of the PCCs from the two countries we lived in several years ago. Later on, we would get the PCCs from our current country of residence and obviously, the dates thereof would be later than those of the PCCs from previous countries. The question is how DIBP or a case officer chooses the date of initial entry in such cases? Will they just take the date of earliest PCC or will they take the date of PCC of the country of current residence? Thx
  13. Hey J, the answer to both your questions is yes as long as the certification and translation process is according to the rules set by the specific institutions. For example Engineers Australia requirements are listed in detail in their leaflet which is available online.
  14. Hi Soumen, I don't know the answer to your question but I'm very interested to know if you had to pay the visa fees again once your first application for 189 was rejected?
  15. Hi Riesta, I think that our experience will be checked by dibp no matter what EA says. What EA is necessary for is to determine whether our occupation is in accordance with ANZSCO classification as well as check whether our diploma is comparable to Australian educational system. I have certified each document and sent hardcopies to EA. DIBP may accept scans of certain documents if they are originals however. You need to send to DIBP scans of everything you submitted to EA as well as additional documentation. Hope this helps.
  16. Just as Rupert said, 20pts for all 8s and 10pts for all 7s.
  17. deldesouza4369, howcome there is no mention of 190 visas in the report?

  22. Each state has immigration program and some have different requirements than the others. Just type "[state or teritory] state sponsorship" in google...

  24. 189, 190 and 489 are 3060 $ processing time: 189 around a year, 190 around 6 months and 489 few months. For accurate info, check the immi website.
  25. Hello all, What is the outcome of the assessment - if the assessment is posivie, do you get some kind of chartership or a title like PEng? I suppose such title would be beneficial when looking for a job...
