  1. They obviously graded it as an "inadvertent error", and as http://www.gmskilled.com/inadvertent-errors-on-expression-of-interest-overclaiming-points-skilled-visa-application/ reads, every applicant downgraded that way get away with it. This gave me confidence to try it as well. Only those are rejected, who give false information on purpose. This is what I would also support. Yet I don't know what the inadvertent error was, they don't reveal that information
  2. I stick to 60 points and took it as final "character test" My anticipation was, that if they say you have only 60, dont try to insist on 65, you will not be able to argue with them! I had no agent.
  3. got PR! so.. if anyone else gets a downgrading-request for an inadvertent error, dont be worried too much!
  4. According to ACS, I haved worked 3 years in oz as programmer as I stated in the EOI.. that's why i was very astonished why it is over-claimed
  5. Hi all, I got a letter from my case officer that I actually only have 60 points instead 65 as claimed in my expression of interest, as they don't acknowledge full 3 years of Australian work (but a few months less..), now they want me to either insist on having 65 points or agree to have only 60 points, within a 28 days response limit... Now, their old homepage stated that software engineers need 65 points as new condition. But on their new homepage (http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Skil) , programmers cannot be invited anymore "until next financial year". So this raises a few questions for me: 1) As I have been "mistakenly" invited, what does it mean if I agree to be put back to 60 points, regarding the barrier they put on programmers that have not been there to the point of time when I got invited? 2) If I insist on having 65 points (I really don't know why they don't recognise my full 3 years here), does it have a prospect on success at all / are they open minded for reconsideration and arguments? 3) I hope "until next financial year" refers to this financial year, July 2015, so this information is not up-to-date? 4) Should I wait until the end of the response period (28 days) to see if they lower the barrier for programmers? Does is help? Thanks for any advise!
  6. yes, per email, and at 00.19am, so earliest
  7. How one can be sure that one get no invitation.. cause then I need to book a ticket out of Australia as fast as possible for complicated visa reasons..
  8. Hi, If they say, 10th of April is invitation round, does anybody know when they send the invitation letter around? Has anybody experience in that? is it at the start of the day, or during the day, or towards the end, or maybe on the 11th April or even later? Thanks
  9. Hi, the ACS is demanding additional documents from me - "Certified copy of your award certificate and transcript - translated" - I passed in no translation. So right now, the original is on the airpost way to Australia quite a long time already, so can I let translate the certified copy in Germany instead? Must the translation be certified again, so a second time? Must also the German certification stamps be translated? I had difficulties reading the inherent parenthesis of ACS's demand: a) "(Certified copy of your award certificate and transcript) - translated" b) "Certified copy of (your award certificate and transcript - translated)" So obviously I cannot provide b) right now as the translator expects to see the original I guess? Or - as I have a scan of both the original and the certified copy, are the scans sufficient to let it be translated in Australia bei NAATI?
  10. I realized now that I worked in the past for nearly 2 years on the 457 visa, namely from 16 May 2011 to 3 May 2013. Can it be still converted into a PR application (its in the past and not *full* two years)? Or does the former employer (Queensland Universtity of Technology) who sponsored the 457s need to be involved?
  11. I want 3 years working experience in Australia being accessed by ACS, will ACS count the exact days, or only full months worked? what if I worked 2 1/2 month for one contract? what if only 2 weeks? anybody experience with that?
  12. What criterion you have in mind when saying "enough experience"? I have 2 years and 10 months work experience in Australia which can be assessed by ACS. It's not enough for skilled migration as I need 3 years in my situation, but as I understand you, the last two month do not need to be ACS-accessed. What does the abbreviation "CO" stands for?
  13. I already worked in Germany nearly 5 years, so two years of that 5 years are "consumed" to meet the Skill Level Met date. But now, it doesn't seem that I can get my work experience assessed while the work to be assessed still continues for two more months.. or would ACS trust that I complete the job? After the next two months, I would have worked totally 3 years in Australia in my profession. Seems that visa 600 will not be suitable .. cause I need continue to work for the company, and 600 does not allow working.. so I will work offshore (which is possible with my kind of work) and then settling the 189 requirements. Seems to be the only option for me..
