1.

Hello Insiya , I am from Pakistan and have uploaded all my docs on 14th Aug.I see that you are also engineer. So stay in touch about your application and after visa (as I have no clue where to move in case a visa is granted)

2. I see some great momentum around here. I lodged my application on 4th August. I am applying from India. Anyone else applying from India here? I have uploaded all documents except PCC and medical. Need to sort them out ASAP! A brief on my migration process so far : IELTS (L8,R9,W8,S8) : 14.03.2015; CDR submitted : 17.05.2015; Positive assessment : 28.07.2015; EOI submitted(75 points) : 29.07.2015; Invite : 03.08.2015; Visa Lodged : 04.08.2015; Docs uploaded : 06.08.2015; PCC/Medicals : ??; Grant : ??
3. I applied for Electronics Engineer (233411) with 75 points. I guess I applied just in time for this round of invites
4. I received an invitation today for subclass 189. My points score was 75 (Electronics Engineer). EOI submitted on 29th July. Insiya
5. Hi All, I just received an invitation to apply for Skilled Independent (189) visa 2 hours ago. I had submitted my EOI on 29th July. I got my skills assessment from Engineers Australia on 28th July. I am now anxious about proceeding with the actual application for visa. Does anyone have quick tips that can come in handy? Would any additional documents be required while submitting the application? Thanks, Insiya IELTS (L8,R9,W8,S8) : 14/03/25, CDR submitted : 17/05/15, Positive assessment from EA : 28/07/15, EOI submitted : 29/07/15, Invite : 2/08/15....
6. Hi, I submitted my CDR Engineers Australia yesterday after working on it for weeks together! Awaiting a positive outcome soon. Fingers crossed Insiya
7. Hi Umair, Which discipline of engineering did you apply for? I am also currently preparing my CDR for Electronics Engineering and it is taking a toll on me! A word of advice would be appreciated -I
8. By the way, ideally how many words do they expect us to write when summarizing each competency element?
9. Here I go..This doc elaborates each element http://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/sites/default/files/shado/Education/Program%20Accreditation/110318%20Stage%201%20Professional%20Engineer.pdf
10. @toOz - Ah I see! I do need more brainstorming here I guess. @MiM - Thanks. I didn't know we could directly ask EA for help. If that is the case, I would try to get in touch with them today. -I
11. Hi toOz, Yes, I use the verification language System Verilog extensively. Actually speaking, I found most of the elements similar in both ET and PE summary statements. I am a bit confused on this one => "Application of established engineering methods to complex engineering problem solving" Not sure what is expected out of "established engineering method" here. Could you give an example that could nudge me forward please. -I
12. If I compare my work experience to the MSA booklet definitions, I am more inclined to apply as an E.T. But I read in a couple of posts that a 4 year degree holder should rather go for P.E. -I
13. Hello members, I am in the process of preparing CDR to get my skills assessed. I am mostly done with the CEs but now stuck at the Summary Statement. I have a 4 year Bachelor degree in Electronics and Communication and have been working in the Semicinductor-IT field for 5+ years. My work mainly involves programming for ASIC verification purpose. I am confused whether I should prepare the Summary Statement as a Professional Engineer or Engineering Technologist. I would appreciate if you could give your opinion on the same. Thanks in anticipation Insiya
