We got CO today. Asked for forms 80 and 1221 as well as PCC for dependant and medicals for all applicants.

Maybe it would be better to have it translated by a court-appointed interpreter.

Aus this is quite interesting as we are also facing a difficult situation regarding a pcc. I can't give you much advice since we haven't been allocated with a CO but I do know how you feel. Also it is good that you attached the paper from courier service as any proof could help at this point. When did you apply for visa?

I got my invitation once after only a few days following EOI so I'd say your chances are high.

Right and what some people do is they inform the authority which issued an invitation for 190 visa that they can't find work and ask if it's ok to move to another state.

We paid a few days ago and began uploading docs but in the web dialog all docs are designated as recommended as opposed to required. So we have no idea should we fill out form 80 and 1221 for both of us or should primary applicant fill out form 80 and the dependent fill out form 1221...any thoughts?

Just received an invitation to apply for 189 visa. EOI submitted mid September with 65 pts. Good luck peeps.

Looking at the link captainc provided it seems there are some ambiguities: - Scanned colour copies of the biographical pages of the current passports - Certified scanned colour copy of military service record So it is stressed that some docs need to be certified. So it is unclear whether in this instance passport bio page needs certification. .. I know for a fact that people have been granted visas even though they had not certified original docs issued in English...

I thought if a document is issued in English there's no need to certify, color scan was sufficient. This is now changed?

That's strange. I think you should contact Engineers Australia to see what's going on.

It would be great if someone could share the criteria by which COs reduce the work experience.

Changes in SOL.

Hi Aryan, We are hoping to receive our 2nd invitation in June. If we apply after July 1st, will the changes in the SOL affect us (in case my occupation gets removed from SOL on July 1st)?

Now that the new administration year is approaching in July 1st, dates begin to matter. If I submit an EOI now and get invited in early June, will I be affected by the new rules if I submit my application later than July 1st (but still within the 60 days following the invitation)?

Cam you get the CEO to write a statement about the new person in HR department etc?

Do you have an employment certificate detailing the tasks you did while working for the company in question? Have you included it in any of the career episodes in your CDR with Engineers Australia?

I'm trying to find out more by talking to lawyers. It seems like the debt is not included in criminal records but it one can't be too sure with these things. I agree with the advice to make arrangements to settle the debt and have already initiated the process.
