  1. No problem, I would stick to the school jobs though, I am going to ask my girlfriend (teacher) if she can get me a job at her school
  2. A tip someone told me, though seek doesn't display the salary it is there hiden and if you use the salary range part of the search you can narrow down the search until the job disappears and you can work out the approx salary. General Admin type people at my place earn between 50-60,000 a year
  3. This sounds like an amazing job, all the holidays of the teachers without having to deal with the kids or all the out of hours planning, marking etc..
  4. Yeah its been a difficult adjustment for me as well. from 30 days plus 12 flexi days a year down to 20 days this year..

  6. Why u moving to geelong? My girlfriend got a job there so that's why we there. It is really nice but 2.5 to 3 hours a day commute is getting to me after six months.
  7. Train. I get the 728 from north geelong. Gets into southern cross at about 828. Then I get the local train to richmond.... it takes between hour and 15 and hour and thirty mind. So I usually get into work around 8:50. Going is normally fine..coming home drives me crazy as u choose ur train from richmond there are loads but sometimes they get.held outside finders street for ten mind and u miss ur train back to geelong
  8. Rippleside. It's right next to north geelong station and the Melbourne road. I live there and work in Richmond. ..bit of a nightmare hoping for a local job one day. U can walk into town along the bay in 15mins. Rippleside park is good for kids
  9. Hi Dubai airport does have a kids club, stumbled on it when I was there in April (have no kids). It was upstairs somewhere... appeared to be a small room with supervised play area, ball pit climing frame, dolls houses etc
  10. Yeah must be area, mine is worth the same as it was when I purchased in 2007 (though have spend £10,000 on it)
  11. Good, shes half way her first year of teaching now.. enjoying the first day of well earned holidays. Shes become a maths/science teacher which seems to be the way here. Full time perm job and shes happy.
  12. Hi my girlfriend was a biology teacher hunting for jobs this time last year. Three main resources, * The state government website with the state school jobs in * http://www.independentschools.com.au/ with the private school jobs in * The Age Newspaper on a Saturday. * seek had very few jobs on it..
  13. Hi I was lucky enough to get a job in advance and leave.my girlfriend to head over a few months later. My tip would be avoid applying for jobs via a agent and apply solely to companies advertising directly. Only I changed to this strategy I started finding people willing to interview via Skype.
  14. Just applied avoided any jobs via agents. Had a Skype interview got the job
  15. Lucky enough to get one from uk before I came cav. Thats no good cav looks like ur my competition for geelong IT jobs.
  16. Yes we bought a kayak and walk it down to the water . Yes train wld never drive I see the cars out window moving so slow. I work richmond so it's 1; 20 each way
  17. my girlfriend is teaching in Highton.. We live in rippleside as i unfortuantly have to commute to Melbourne for work.. I really like Geelong would love a job here, came second at one job interview and first in another (then they decided to appoint no one)..
  18. Petals u havent spent enough time in uk airports the queue is often shorter in the other passport lines as there are all the europeans aloud in the British line If there was not an eGate thing to use I would go into the other passports line. Then get to the front and say I am not sure which passport to use I have both....waved through saved 10mins... maybe its cause Birmingham airport has less international flights.
  19. What does this mean .. the cost of your flight has no relation to the purpose of your visit
  20. Ohh and there used to be loads of schools, my original high school and primary school were buldozed for houses, many others in the area were as well, I have no idea whats going to happen to the kids when the old folk die and new young people with families move in.
  21. Quick look at the map I think that area should be fine. Our first house was on Don Street, went to Reservoir high, we played our sport on that Donath and Dole reserves. I have friends who live on Hickford Street, Gertz Avenue.. That area is fine I wouldnt have any concern about walking around there, it seems pretty close to what you are looking at... after 10 years in inner city wolverhampton/birmingham I find everything safe .. She is right about a lot of units, the blocks there are huge and people have been subdividing and cashing in although the council is now making this more difficult, one of my friends has bought and subdivided around there so I remember his problems getting it approved...
  22. Hi I went to reservoir high school. Always considered the area to be safe tho I suppose u are a bit oblivious as a child. My friend used to live near the swiming pool and there were a lot of council\aboriginal tenants un that area if that bothers u. Not sure what u mean when u say north east west etc . There are a lot of people of greek and Macedonia heritage in the area
  23. Was good when it was in japan south korea
  24. Still a while until I can become house husband then..
