  1. That is extremely unprofessional behavior. 1. Check if she had her DRC rights revoked already (but she submitted the nomination so....) 2. If she advertises her Fee as DRC (I know some do) then try to get her on email stating why she deliberately avoided it when all documents were submitted 3. Go back to her now to re-negotiate the fee maybe? For me I'd want to expose her so others don't have the anguish of being cheated Good luck, fingers crossed you have a miracle swift approval:)
  2. Sam, you are a legend. Put my mind at rest. How long can you stay away? Can it be indefinite I would also try and visit them. Usually my principle is to contact DIAC thrice and see if all 3 agents say the same thing
  3. Agreed. However what happens if you want to return home or holiday overseas till such time the PR is granted. Any idea if this is a deal breaker? I understand before for the 121/856 they were distinct offshore/onshore subclasses but it doesnt exist anymore. thanks!
  4. Mate I would get a definite answer from DIAC/Immi on this in your situation. The reason I ask this is that when you lodge Visa applications , somewhere in the form it states you need to notify Immigration of your travel (and of course hold a visa to return). My question lie's more along the lines of : 1. Can you apply onshore 2. Then leave permanently till such time the approval comes through with no impact to the processing of the visa. Reason being on your application you state current address, employment etc as being in Australia and leaving technically means "change of circumstances"
  5. Hi guys, Since July 2012, there is no separate subclass for onshore/offshore. Very simply put, after a successful Visa application (189) visa what if the applicant decides to move back home and wait for the approval? i.e. Applied for 189 on the 457, resigned job and returned home awaiting approval. Thanks Bonza
  6. By this stage I would think so too. CO more concerned to verify time frames, pay etc. The assessment from ACS should be rock solid! Good luck
  7. Most definitely. Skills Assessment scrutiny is a different matter all together. As I see it there is no points requirement for the ENS186 but simply the need to demonstrate "3 years - employment experience at the appropriate skill level, in most cases post qualification." Thanks Raul!!! I am going to bite the bullet and submit the skills assessment with just the latest work-ex history I've got to speed things up. DIAC can recieve the whole shebang (I earlier submitted this for my 457 and I reckon it was sufficient as I received my 457 in under 10 days:) ). cheers Bonza
  8. Penny wise, pound foolish, so the saying goes. Many of us get caught up with that sometimes!
  9. Agreed! 3 years work experience requirement is from DIAC. For this I will submit : --Appointment letter --Exit letter --Recommendation letter from employer (verification) --Copy of contract (if available) The above is all overseas work-ex. For VETASSESS I need only 1 year relevant work experience highly relevant to my area of study.I have : --Master of Marketing from University of Sydney --19 months Australian work-ex as a Marketing consultant So what Im getting at is I dont want to submit my overseas work-ex to VETASSESS(for faster processing) but I will submit enough for my Positive assessment. I will submit the overseas work-ex only to DIAC to fulfill the 3 year rule. Does that seem ok? As it doesnt explicitly state anywhere that DIAC will only consider work-ex if assessed by VETASSESS. For example for my 457 visa I submitted all my work-ex without an assessment. What do you mean?
  10. Hi Guys, Some feedback please? For Skill select (ENS186) / EOI 1. Who was the assessing authority? 2. How many years of your work-ex was assessed by the authority? 3. In relation to #2 for the 3 years work-ex requirement for DIAC, does that have to be assessed or you can submit the original employment letters regardless of whether it was assessed or not? Thanks Bonza
  11. Hi Guys, Some feedback please? For your ENS186 (direct entry) 1. Who was the assessing authority? 2. How many years of your work-ex was assessed by the authority? 3. In relation to #2 for the 3 years work-ex requirement for DIAC, does that have to be assessed or you can submit the original employment letters regardless of whether it was assessed or not? 12. Some questions : 1. Who was the assessing authority? 2. How many years of your work-ex was assessed by the authority? 3. In relation to #2 for the 3 years work-ex requirement for DIAC, does that have to be assessed or you can submit the original employment letters regardless of whether it was assessed or not?
  13. It is very clear Onshore - Medicals / PCC needs to be lodged at the time of the application (upfront) Offshore - Proof of having applied for PCC can suffice until further requested. If you have your TRN from the nomination stage you can proceed to apply for the medicals, similar to what happens for your 457.
  14. They key change after July 1st (new rules) is that Employers need to meet the training benchmark requirements similar to the 457 requirements during the nomination phase itself. If an employer has sponsored 457 in the past successfully then there is no significant change in what they need to evidence, it is just that it needs to be done prior to the visa application (i.e. in the nomination stage). The priority seems to be RSMS > ENS > Skillselect (EOI) Considering that the training benchmarks are the main reason company’s fail to be approved under the 457 program, this research is crucial. The fact that a company may have previously had ENS nominations approved under the old system does not mean they will be successful under the new system. Also, under the new system, if applying under the Temporary Residence Stream, criteria such as “2 years on a 457” are now part of the nomination application, not the visa. Good luck!
  15. 1. You can apply for the ENS186 - Direct Entry stream : http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skills.../subclass-186/ 2. Check what occupation you were nominated for under 457, ideally you should nominate the same for your PR visa AND have the necessary Skills assessment. 2. You need to have a valid "Skills assessment" done to verify your Educational qualification and prior work experience. 3. Your employer needs to file a nomination to allow for you to make an application for PR 4. You need to have a valid IELTS score Here is the checklist : http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skills...-checklist.pdf Here are the other threads discussing this subject : http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migrat...ass-186-a.html Cheers
  16. Haha love it! All the best and safe travels
  17. Sandhu, There must be a way for you to check the DIAC charter or service agreement and then write to someone or one of the ministers. Go public as it is unacceptable for a visa that has a charter agreement of say 2 months to run into 8 months. Especially when it is a niche visa like ENS and not the GSB or TR streams. Good luck Bonza
  18. Anyone care to answer? Do I need VETASSESS to verify the 3 years of work-ex in order for DIAC to accept it for Direct Entry? Or does DIAC not care as long as I have a positive skill assessment?
  19. DIAC The following link : Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186) Says that for the Direct Entry stream If you apply for the Direct entry stream, you must: provide a positive skills assessment in your nominated occupation provide evidence of at least three years of relevant work experience have competent English. For #2 above : Are original letters from my overseas employer / payslip / contract letters sufficient? For the 186-Direct Entry will DIAC consider 3 years work-ex even if it wasnt submitted to VETASSESS (it is relevant to my nominated occupation) Previously I used this work experience with DIAC to approve my 457 which I assume they have on file. No assessment was required for the 457. Now the next question : VETASSESS I understand what the skill assessment requirements are from VETASSESS. at least one year of employment completed at an appropriate level over the last five years in a highly relevant field to the nominated occupation is required for all nominated occupation. To speed up the process I've thought of only submitting my 18 months Australian work-ex (Marketing consultant and I just completed a Master of Marketing prior to that @ Uni Syd). So the educational qualification and work extremely tightly related. I also have a reasonably high salary bracket and I am employed by a very reputed firm that operates in my specific industry and I've also consistently been a top performer (certificates/awards to prove this). So what I specifically need to know is if DIAC will only consider the same work-ex submitted to VETASSESS or the 2 can be independant!
  20. Similar question for Australia. If one submitted their "PAYG" for each year would it suffice? It is the annual payment summary. Cheers Bonza
  21. Some of the posts here make you question what DIAC really has in terms of a rigid process for DRC. Images come to mind of an office with stacks of files and C.O walking around saying "Whose pile is this?" and then attending to stuff when no one responds. It would be interesting to see stats on --No. of DRC applications submitted (subclass) --No. of DRC processed - Approved --No. of DRC rejected as incomplete --No. of Agent DRC rights cancelled Etc... however this will probably never be made available. I'm not being pessimistic but it seems like another way to make money in the market at the expense of applicants.
  22. Up to the top for a response!
