  1. Any input on the above posts guys? Also : http://www.vetassess.com.au/migrate_to_australia/qa2_faq.cfm#18 [h=3]18. Will all applicants for a Skills Assessment need to have an assessment of their qualifications and employment?[/h]The full assessment is an assessment of qualification and employment, however, applicants who are applying for the on-shore Skilled - Graduate (Temporary) visa (subclass 485) will only require a qualification assessment. After gaining one year of relevant employment, they may apply for the full Skills Assessment to support an application for permanent residency under the skilled migration program. Thus it appears everyone needs Skills + Qualification assessment ? However from what I read on the forum many apply for just one or the other? Cheers Bonza
  2. I want the next post from you to be one confirming you have your approval
  3. This is a disgrace that they can toy with peoples lives like this. Good luck and let your brother know that there is something positive in store for him in the future!
  4. I can only confirm what was told to me and for my situation I was told I do not need the points test letter. If I am submitting a DRC, I would expect the "Points test letter" to be on the MRA checklist which it is not. So fingers crossed!
  5. 1. Educational Qualifications Page 5 of 26 of the Application form SRG1 says "List qualifications relevant to Skill Assessment" My undergraduate study was in Economics. It is not linked to my current nominated profession or Masters Study. My Masters study is a Master of Marketing and my 457 TR Visa I was nominated as a Marketing Specialist and I have worked in the Marketing/Advertising industry for 19 months post qualification. Therefore do I still need to submit my undergraduate degree for the assessment? 2. Payslips Since I'v worked in Australia for the last 19 months, I plan to submit Copy of last 6 pay-slips June 2011 PAYG - Annual summary June 2012 PAYG - Annual summary Copy of contract I feel confident that I have a clear cut positive assessment. Therefore I do not want to include my undergraduate studies and work experience prior to my Masters Degree(as this was done overseas). I'm just curious if my entire educational history needs to be submitted. I assume that if I'v successfully competed a Masters from Sydney Uni with high credit average than VETASSESS assumes I went to school and learnt my ABC?
  6. Hi guys, About to embark on a skills assessment for the 186 ENS visa. Highest Qualification : Masters in Marketing (sydney Uni) Work experience Post Qualification (Masters) : 19 months fulltime - Marketing / Advertising industry (1 year 7 months) Proposed docs : Skill assessment form Master degree certificate Masters degree transcripts Statement of service / employer reference Tax return Payslip Employment contract Originals (if copies then notarised by justice of peace) The above clearly demonstrates I am in the industry and job closely linked to my area of study. Do I need to submit my undergraduate study/work experience PRIOR to Masters(highest qualification?) I don't want to slow down the assessment with unnecessary information that is redundant. Cheers Bonza
  7. Who on here used VETASSESS recently (i.e. July onwards) what has been the experience?
  8. This has me especially excited as I will apply under the Marketing Specialist Occupation. I did nominate the same occupation for my 457 which may positively impact the processing of the 186, though it may not speed it up. I'm yet to apply to VETASSESS, I want to have that sent off ASAP. Cheers!
  9. Sithmn, on average we saw upto 4-5 weeks for approval of nomination and then you have 6 months to lodge your application. Good luck
  10. That makes sense, silly me. I guess I will need to discuss this on another thread once i have a little more info. I'm basically curious as to what happens to someone who was PR and left the country but still has a super fund, medicare etc. No worries will seek your expertise soon enough, cheers mate.
  11. Congrats and good luck to those got their invites, to the others, stay positive!
  12. Well if they were only here 3 weeks in 2008 and haven't resided here for 4 years what are the legal requirements? Do you still need to file a return stating no Australian income? I assume you are treated as a "Non-Resident" PR visa holder and just curious what the rules are like
  13. Apologies for responding to your query with a query of my own but Rupert has answered I am curious as to what the requirements are for such an arrangement particularly : --Taxation From the post above I take it you haven't done a deep dive on the subject yet but it would be interesting to know your experience on return, legal and immigration point of view. Good luck! Bonza
  14. How long is a piece of string Give us a few more details, even there it is a GUESSTIMATE 1. Is it a DRC application ? 2. Did you submit your nomination + visa application together? 3. Please confirm 186 Direct Entry or Transition ? 4. Which office did you apply? (Parramatta etc) Regarding the visa process (not nomination) : Current time frames being reported for DRC is approximately 16 weeks for CO allocation + 2 weeks for approval. There was a post here : http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/145008-drc-rsms-ens-timeline-51.html#post1935977130 Applied 29/6 under DRC Employer Nomination had was approved in 13 weeks.
  15. dsylxeic untie! Practise the test and time yourself.
  16. What they said. ENS 186 - Direct Entry Out of curiosity, did you meant $28000 in education fee's? $280000 seems a bit steep!
  17. Thank you. There was a mention on another thread that DRC is now taking 12 weeks for CO allocation and further 1-2 weeks for approval. Just got to stay positive! Not much else we can do
  18. I am a firm believe of this school of thought. However my firm is undergoing some structural changes and currently I am able to initiate the Nomination process which may also take a few weeks before being ready. If the management changes I may not have this liberty. VETASSESS I haven't yet lodged my application and I assume it will take 12-16 weeks tops for this. Just somehow feel secure that I have an approved nomination sitting in the pipeline early enough. Lets see how things pan out. However I'd definitely recommend lodging at one go to anyone looking for a swift actioned approval.
  19. Based on this it looks like DRC aren't really any sort of priority anymore, it is luck of the draw!
  20. This is general assumption I have had all along. I hope this is not true. A consultation I had last week had the MA tell me I didn't need the Points Advisory letter. Hopefully someone like Raul (ABA on this forum) can confirm?
  21. Champion! Thanks for the reply Sandhu!
  22. Cheers mate. Can a nomination be lodged + approved and then a DRC visa application submitted subsequently. i.e. No mandate that nomination+visa application needs to be all lodged together for DRC? Also what is the maximum timeframe between submitted/approved nomination and when an individual can lodge their visa application? Thats a bit of a let down but atleast we have some timeframes. Good luck maybe you will be one of those random, instant approvals
  23. Congrats Mate! Ray of hope there for us applicants... Quick question. Does a DRC Nomination have to be lodged along with DRC Visa application? i.e. For DRC do both need to be lodged simultaneously ? I can check with a lawyer but I'd like to know real world experience as well.
