  1. I am scanning all my o and a level certs and a letter from my secondary school stating that I was at the school between dates........... and studied in English. APHRA accepted this as proof, along with degree certs and nursing transcripts. Not sure about health insurance yet.

http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/index/checklists/187-applicant-checklist.pdf states that is those occupations in the schedule....... Is your occupation on this schedule? Otherwise you do not appear to need a skills assessment.
  4. And the car crash keeps on running........its a lot of attention for someone posting as a nasty spoilt little madam......and who keeps yanking some posters chains......reminds me of a film with Jim Carrey................................................................"Liar Liar"
  5. We live in Downpatrick 40 miles further up the coast. One of the Bay City Rollers was from there and the band ASH too.
  6. Caron and Rod that sounds and looks idyllic. The Blue Mountains are something else!! Yes I would love to keep in touch. Good luck with the build!
  7. We are hoping to be over by November all being well. How do you like Rylstone?
  8. Hi caronandrod I'm going to Moree. I live about 40 miles from Newry  Where are you going in NSW?
  9. Whether you are or not, your posts make you come across to me, and I suspect other posters, as a very spoilt and pampered lady. 5 people is not the double of 3 people and I think you have already stated one of yours is not 'eating at the table'. Even if Lisa was earning the same as her OH, which would be miraculous, that would make your income almost twice that of theirs, I thought that was what she was saying in her post. The mathematics alone just doesn't add up in this thread. It appears that you want sympathy for your plight, yet point blank refuse to acknowledge that there are ways you can fix this. It is really hard to be sympathetic when your plight comes across as wanting a champagne lifestyle, with IMHO champagne earnings but finding you are not getting it. That to me is like me crying that I haven't won the lottery instead of being an adult and getting on with what is important. I really do hope things get better for you. I just think that you will need to do something different for that to happen. "If you keep doing what you always do, you keep getting what you always get."
  10. I am wondering what is the best way to go about ensuring a smooth transition for a teenager taking Concerta xl 54mgs here in the UK. Would a letter from the paediatrician help? or is needed? How do I go about bringing the medication into the country without any incident given the status of the medication. Is it possible to have a GP in a rural area prescribe this without a referral to a consultant paediatrician in Australia? My teen does so well socially and academically taking this that I would hate for him to come to Australia and have a miserable time because I didn't do the right thing before coming over. Has anyone else any experience of this? I am going to NSW, if that makes a difference. Thanks for any help.
  11. <p><p>Not sure which sub class, hoping it's a 457 in the first instance for speed, but they are sponsoring me for PR. Waiting on my TRN to start the ball rolling. Should get that anyday now. How long is a piece of string? One years work exp and I can apply for independent visa anyway. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /></p></p>

  12. <p><p>You too.......just waiting on the visa process now.....<img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /></p></p>

  13. If you both have a paypal account and are sending it as a gift there is no fee for sender (none in the UK unless the rules are different there). You will pay fees if you draw it down to your account though. I keep the money in the account and use if to pay for things so avoid charges.
  14. Oh they bring pedantry to new heights..........if you want registered you do what they say............I what with bated breath to see the outcome of their consultation on police checks for overseas nurses from the other countries they have lived in.....before registration.
  15. The maximum sized suitcase/bag can be 32 kgs, so four large suitcases would be 120kgs, could you push that? Would the travel cot be part of that allowance?
  16. I'm sorry for your troubles and I hope it works out well for you when you return home to those that love you. Good luck, what ever you decide.
  17. Congratulations!! You need a pin number to do the modified ANMAC assessment. An in principle letter doesn't give you a pin number. You will need to do the academic IELTS.
  18. I just checked the NSW health website and children are covered for free dental care if resident, eligible for medicare and under 18 years old. I found that on google using free dental care children NSW.
  19. I too am interested, but unfortunately know little to nothing about it.
  20. Safe journey and all the very best for your new start!!
  21. starting with a New Hope...............and hopefully no Return.........and in keeping with a different climate? Cheers Marion  Mines a Margarita
  22. APHRA recency of practice standard. You need a statement of service from your employer stating the number of hours per week you have worked in the past 5 years, which service area/roles you have worked in and your role description etc. Did your Health Development require you to be a registered nurse when applying and have you attended mandatory nurse study days eg infection control? Have a look at your job description and see how it translates across the nursing skills?
