Every state has their own SMP -State migration plan IF your occupation is listed, then go can go ahead and apply. I checked SA's SMP https://www.migration.sa.gov.au/snol%20data look to the right on the page where it says occupation list and click on the list for 2012-2013 (this list will be updated later maybe in July 2013). your occupation is listed as off-list Maybe wait till July for the updated SMP for SA in July 2013. It is FREE to apply to SA. If you haven't already done so, check the authorizing body that will carry out your skills assessment which will be needed BEFORE you apply to any state.

what if i lodge my visa, but due to lack of funds, unable to do the medical soon after lodging my visa online. Can I explain this to the CO?
