Where we live it's full of poms who bring over their maxi cosy car seats for their bugaboos and I have never heard of one getting stopped and fined. Fair enough if you need a new one but I wouldn't throw away a perfectly good one. This is all a bit over dramatic if you ask me ... The police have better things to do and done babies going get to ride in any car seat at all.

If you had PR and all the top ups that come with that in terms of state benefits you might be in a better position than you are currently.

I left my job in January haven't worked since .... Have an offer on the table. He informed DIAC of the situation as at the time he was getting ENS and do they were fine with that. That has gone now because he was let go by that employer and they canceled the nomination. Currently neither of us I guess have a visa but if I take the job they will take over the 457 which I'm sure will be fine and if its not then that's that.
