Hi Joe, I'm acca qualified since 07 and specialise in systems accounting. I've not enrolled in any oz equivalent. The job market wasn't too bad. There are definitely roles out there. I interviewed for 4 other roles, didn't get the first three, but was offered two at the same time! Proving that you're planning on sticking around, at least in the medium term, is the tricky bit! Hi, myself (30) and my girlfriend (27) have been in Brisbane for around 2 months now. We've found jobs, sorted accommodation (Toowong), drivers licence, Medicare, broadband, electric etc, so pretty much set up now. We joined a couple of meet up groups this week on www.meetups.com.au (as Blewyn suggested above) as we've not met many people as yet. Let me know if you want to meet for a drink or something in town (Friday evening. Sat/Sun are probably best for us), and we'll try and help out as best we can from what we've learnt in the last couple of months! Also, if anyone else is interested in coming along, then you're more than welcome. It would be good to interact with people outside a work environment again! Craig

I had a similar issue. Turned out the link I saved as a favourite whilst logged in was slightly different to link in the email. Try using email link.

Hi All, I was just wondering if anyone else if having trouble uploading supporting documents for their e-visa application? I lodged my application on the 24th, but every time I try and log on to upload documents I receive a message stating that "This service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later". I can't see anything on the website about maintenance or a contact e-mail to submit issues. Thanks, Craig

I passed mine a couple of weeks ago. Tip for the reading would be that the questions all seem to follow in order of the text, i.e if you're reading through the passage looking for an answer to question 2 it will be after the answer to question one, but before the part that relates to question 3.

I know that the last post was a couple of months ago, but any update? I have just received my IELTS results (8.5 overall), so I am gong to apply to ICAA tomorrow. I am an ACCA memeber since 2008, but have no degree. I'm hoping to claim 15 points for the qualification. If not then hopefully 10 as a minimum with the additional 5 as work experience...

I'm going to sit the IELST test before I make any decisions. If I score an 8 overall I will have enough points without including any work experience. Craig

Hi All, This is something that is confusing me at the moment too. I am ACCA qualified since June 2008, I do not have a degree. Would I be able to count experience gained pre-qualification? And does it really make a difference submitting the assessment to one of the accounting bodies rather than directly to the DIAC? It would be good to hear from people that have experienced this. Thanks in advance for any help, Craig
