We studied politics in our 2nd from last year at school,Studied before her time and during... ( maybe schools now should do the same) certainly an eye opener on why she did and what she had to do... No prime minister since her has tried to even put us back on track, if anything they have made the country worse!!

Wow you lot a really on a roll tonight!!! I don't see the point in celebrating her death, It's in the past and her passing away isn't exactly going to change anything!!! As others have said, she is a mother and grandmother and her family are morning her death as any family would, Not everyone could have disagreed with her, after all she ran the country for over 10 years, she had a lot of backing,

At least when it's cold you can wrap up and add the layers, when it's too hot not much will help you stay cool :cute: i know which i would rather have! -
The Uk is not all doom and gloom, If most people didn't have the chance of upping sticks and going to Oz ( or anywhere else), you would be just getting on with what the uk throws at you! It is soul destroying when companies are going bust and people are loosing their jobs, but a few people i know, are just getting on with it, nothing you can do except cut back and take any job you can whilst looking for a better suited, Those moaning are the ones that have had fun spending on credit cards maxed up, God forbid they have to go without their over the top holiday.. weekly hairdressing appointments and xbox live etc lmao

A lot more horses die on flat racing which no one really hears about, it can happen minutes and even hours after a race!!! Burst blood vessels leading to heart attack and strokes!! My uncle reports sport from newbury and always mentions how many are destroyed!!

Love the fact we are so close to all different places, a ferry ride to the Isle of white, The Tunnel to France, Quick flight to Jersey or even Guernsey, A Road trip to Cornwall or a day out to the new forest, the list is endless!

We took our huge top loader washing machine back to the uk with us, wouldn't be without it, just make sure it has a service, and lots of companies deal with spare parts too

I agree with what others say, you just need to bite the bullet and go, nothing not even the negatives would put you off if your heart is really in it!! -

lack of work was just one of our little issues, Our savings were just going down the drain, that and the kids not settling! So we cut our losses whilst we still had the money to return and buy a property!! Very hard when you have no income coming in, it's a constant worry x
-
Good luck with your plans, really hope it all works out for you!

We live very close to the Beach ( Bournemouth/ Southbourne) to be honest we hardly ever go, kids get so bored there, They would rather go down the river fishing or weymouth to the rock pool. The only time now we go to the Beach is to watch the air show!

Only you know how you really feel, If you are sure Oz isn't for you then so be it!! Your life your decision.. as you say you have plenty of time to return to as at a later date if you wish to do so. Very easy for others to say.. " give it longer" etc, but they are not you, Just because it may have worked for them doesn't mean it will be ok for someone else All the very best in which ever path you decide to follow
