Hi all, thanks for all your feedback. I think first of all I will have to get my backup plan sorted. Lucky for us our son is only 2yrs old so if we did not like it we could move back in a couple of years and it should not effect him/ us too much. I am looking to go out to Australia more to find a business than a job, I am fed up with the lack of opportunities in the U.K. I know all about the grass is greener as I have been there done that. I think if I do not do this it will always be in the back of my mind and I will always regret it but at the same time after reading some of the posts I will not be rushing into it.

Hi Snifter, I am going to go for a 189 visa with the skills of a Systems Analyst, which was my role until mid 2011. I currently own a couple of businesses so would like to see what prospects there are of opening a business in Australia and have a skill in I.T. to fall back on. (well that is the plan A) Thanks to everyone so far for your feedback, it all helps.

Hi everyone, I would firstly like to thank everyone for all the different topics, views, comments on this site and the creators for making the site. It has really helped me at the research stage. I want a better life for my children and wife. I am fed up of always just about keeping up in the U.K. Hardest part is leaving family behind. Would appreciate all the help about AUSTRALIA that can be offered. Looking to move to either NSW or Melbourne. Have not been on holiday yet to see what Australia is all about but have heard great things about the country. Jay.
