  1. Sounds like all you have is a contact at an agency, not an actual CO at DIBP.
  2. OK, things are obviously very different with paper now then as I thought you didn't get a CO until it had all been lodged at DIBP and paid for! I hadn't heard of being able to lodge with just an assessment form and get a CO before paying, thats good!! Good luck!
  3. If you've got a CO, surely that means your application has been lodged, in which case you will have already paid? (bit confused here -thats not unusual!)
  4. You still have the 10-14 month wait for the visa, but you then get PR saight away, you don't have to do the 2 years on a Temp Spouse visa first.
  5. Try this for basic numbers https://www.immi.gov.au/media/fact-sheets/20planning.htm
  6. To go straight to PR you need 3 years cohabitation/marriage or 2 years if there is a child of the relationship.
  7. Changes to fees are here http://www.immi.gov.au/pub-res/Documents/budget/VAC-increases-fact-sheet.pdf
  8. Wow, must be one of the few visas where applicants from High Risk Countries get their visas quicker than Low Risk!
  9. It means no visas in that class can be granted until 1st July. Processing continues as normal, but they are held in a queue to be granted when the new financial year starts.
  10. Maybe i'm missing something but if he added you to his PR applicaion why wasn't your visa sorted at the same time? why did you need to apply for a Spouse Visa if you were already part of his application?
  11. If your husband got PR in September and you have been married 4 years, why did he not put you on his {R application in the first place?
  12. There are basic rules of human dignity - such as if they don't offer a gown you can request one. They are supposed to check refexes, and to give you a decent eye test. A few years back the list of approved examiners was seriously pruned, partly due to the fact that some of the examiners were not sticking to the guidelines. Some of those removed had serious allegations made against them (detailed on forums at the time). I would suggest that if people have issues - such as no gown offered - then report this to DIBP. Breaking basic rules if human dignity is the start of a slippery slope.
  13. If I remember correctly the Xray needs to be done within a certain amount of time from the medical (presumably 6 months) so if there was no Xray the medical is invalid. If she did an Xray I suggest you ask the CO about it!
  14. If your CO doesnt need anything, theywon't get in touch. As they won't need your pcc ormeds for a while yet that may be why you've heard nothing.
  15. Unless things have changed recently the info was sent out by the CO and they used to gve their contact details. Maybe someone else who has applied more recently than me can tell you if things have changed. If the initial contact no longer comes from the CO you probably won't hear fron them unti they want something. That doesn't mean you don't have a CO, just that they don't need anything more from you yet.
  16. Didn't you get a response when you lodged the application, giving you a timeline etc?
  17. Nope. Oly ones I've heard about are from high risk countries where the marriages are believed to have been frauulent - there were some in the news in Aus recently, Sydney I think. If you're in a genuine relationship, the worst thats likely to happen is that you might get asked for more info, but even that seems very rare.
  18. If you are in a genuine reltionship its no harder to get a Spouse Visa granted now than it ever has been! Very strange statement for an agent to make!
  19. Not used them as such but have had advice from them. Very good company, very thorough and know their stuff!
  20. Partner visas have changed heaps since then  In a lot of acses - like ours - the sponsor is already living in Australia.
  21. Anyone planning to apply offshore - do it before July 1st and save yourself a whacking heap of money. http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/232756-visa-price-changes-budget.html
