All I can add is that who knows what will happen to the processing when SkillSelect comes in. Does an invite guarantee a positive outcome? Will they invite 1000 applicants a week considering 1000 cases are allocated per week to COs? Will priorities change in July? Will all current GSM applicants be put in one heap (current Cat 1s, 3-5) and SkillSelect the other giving SkillSelect the higher priority? Let's hope as many applicants are granted visas before July because who knows what's coming.

What worry me is if this EX Prime Minister is reinstalled.

It was under his government the migration program started to underway a massive overhaul, not to mention the CAP AND KILL bill.

Only God knows...

Important note:

N/A denotes 'Not Applicable'. There are no GSM visa subclasses within these priority groups.

** Not currently allocating.

A high volume of Priority Group 4 applications were received in May and June 2011. Whilst cases continue to be allocated per week, the limited movement of allocation dates reflect the high volume of applications received during this period. The affected visa subclasses are:

  • Skilled – Independent (Migrant) subclass 175
  • Skilled – Sponsored (Migrant) subclass 176
  • Skilled – Regional Sponsored (Provisional) subclass 475

Allocation of Priority Group 5 applications lodged outside Australia is yet to commence.

Information is available about the processing of Priority Group 5 applications.

See: Processing of Priority Group 5 General Skilled Migration Applications

yeah , but there no update for CAT 5 offshore applicants. How long we should wait for the game to start?

I've no idea... I will come soon.... but hard to predict cos Cat4 offshore application processing is kinda slow even though Cat5 onshore is very fast

I am currently in Mel finishing my course in May 2012... wondering what to do...

1. should I go for a graduate visa

2. go back and wait for my Cat 5 to come

3. Deal with skill select

:)

Hoping for the best

Its hopeless for Offshore priority 5 but add me

Applied: April 2009

Visa subclass: VE 176 family sponsored

Applied as a management consultant.

tired of the DIAC updates as they are meaningless for offshore.

I am very happy with the progress of DIAC. I have everything done accept for IELTS tests. It is quite hard to get all 7s. Luckily my application is with 2010 onshore gang!

I think they will get it done by the end of this year. Look at the speed they are going!

Received an email from TNS about "Skilled Visas Survey", not sure whether I should complete the survey or not.

Did any other CAT 5 receive the same email?
