  1. As you knew we already wasted 6-7 years, some of us might be too old for couple more years of study. While under student visa you can't really get a proper job or earn enough to support your entire family living in Australia. It might bring great burden to your sponsor to prolong your stay and study. Anyway, no doubt this is one of the alternative solution to move to Australia, but provided you still able to coupe with the study while working a part-time job, at your current age.
  2. Second to that. I'm applying online by myself too. Credit card info/photocopy had long gone after all these years. As long that we have the receipt and our application name and so, they should just refund according to applicant desire account, instead refund back to none existent credit card account.
  3. With this cap and ceased announced, everything they did or said are ridiculous.. Guess they were hopeful we couldn't provide these thus refund deemed invalid
  4. Indeed, there are varies reasons some couldn't reapply with new eoi, but immi used one reason to push you away, cap and ceased. I hated these two words already, and that bloody fool assistant minister.
  5. My status was shown "assessment in progress" yesterday, today received the email regarding this cap and ceased. So the status is not relevant.
  6. I'm a 176 applicant who waited since 2009 as well. But I do agreed with captainc. Aud10k each might not be a lot to you but it does to some. With this amount I could have reapply again with some extra balance. So, Why not calm down for now and look from all possible aspects and advises we can get. Rushing to conclude won't do us any good. I'm as frustrating and disappointing as anyone do in these subclasses, but I hope for better planned action rather rushed decision caused further wasted money/time in vain. With Dave lau did posted a comment regarding a channel "Commonwealth ombudsman" where we can initiate our complaint on unfair treatment by a government department. I do feel we can make a case here which at least a chance to overcome or put pressure on this cap and ceased decision. Furthermore this action should be free where we should start from before advanced into expensive court hearing.
  7. fair chances? Ever since Chris bowel took over DIAC and moved us to Cat5, I almost forgot what means Fair from them... Those applied later are now living happily ever after in Aus with their PR in hand, and us still here typing and reading all these. Anyway, im Aug 2009 applicant. Until you heard from them, i couldnt hope for more.
  8. The priority processing which introduce by Chris Bowel is killing the DIAC and all us. Before it happened, every applications are processed in order and we all can roughly estimated our turns. After the introduction of PP, I dont see how it beneficial to the country with the new ANZSCO code. Some jobs were removed but most of the nominated job are still there, just in different names and codes. How fairly does this treated us? Same job/nomination but different priority. They could have tighten and stricthen the rules, for all new applications but not for the existing one. Without it, we all are supposed chatting in "how's new life in OZ" thread instead still stuck here mumbling about our turns and the DIAC unfairness. Culprit, Chris Bowen.. bowel more suitable.
  9. Hi Claire, My application is log under ASCO 2231-11, and which now is Anzsco 262113. Guess this no longer applied to the situation you mentioned above. Sent from my GT-I9100G using Tapatalk
  10. Right, that's what I first thought and apply for FS application instead individual. Thought it would given some advantages since we don't really need the OZ to support us as we have FAMILY to help us. Noentheless, this is totally the another way round. Shame on the DIAC director...
  11. I just don't understand. FS applicants are supposed the less worried group of all immigrants, as they are atleast can be supported by their "family". Except the employer sponsor group, all the other groups are mostly started fresh life in Aus, no job, no house and nobody... how well they can cope with it, you bet for it. Even a 42000 of FS quota i also feel a little short. Did those politicians who came out this danm "priority processing" ever use the "meat" on their head??!!
  12. The sugar candy given to 'some' Cat 5 applicants in the past few months are over. Back to same old unfair DIAC. Well, was hopeful for this year, seem another hope trashed. They knew Family Sponsor applicants are the largest group that still pending , yet they limited it to a pathetic 4200 / yr still. On shore FS applicants alone already exceeded 2-3 times of the 4200 quota, meaning that until Offshore applicants turn, it might be another 3-4 years...
  13. Nice move having this new thread. That another thread is flooded mostly by onshore Cat 5. Cat 5 here, 176 FS System Manager Aug 2009 By the way, just happened to know my passport had expired last March. Do you think it might affect my application for the delay? Will get it renewed asap.
