Hi Jocat, Great news for you! congrats to becoming an Aussie. I have a question if you could answer. Do I need to have overseas or Oz police clearance again when applying online? (I travel overseas for 10 days in the year prior to applying for citizenship). Thanks mate.

Do you know how long does an australian PR son need to wait so that he can sponsor parents in the contributory visa ? I have lived here in Australia for 9 years before having my PR, which was granted recently. Much thanks

folks, after 3 years 15 days wait; 885 onshore, 22 April 2009 got CO allocated this afternoon. that day will come everyone!!!! Team 32 officer is asking for form 80, medical check as soon as possible (AFP and overseas police check were already submitted online to my files 1 month ago, so they didn't ask for it).

I am 885 onshore application submitted 22 April 09, should I consider Victorian state sponsorship NOW? if I get this sponsorship (its website says up to 12 weeks wait), will I need to submit a whole new fresh 886 application, and NEW FEES ? Could you please advise? Or I'd better wait for my 885 turns, which I believe is near. Much thanks to all Cat 5ers.

My application was 885 onshore on 22 April 2009, what should I do now? My lawyer submitted the application for me and we are still in touch. How long does it take to do the medical? and police check in Oz ? should I do my police check in my country ? please refresh my memory on how to do these things, as it is almost 3 years now. Thanks in advance Cat4er.

hey all, my agent sent me the letter that addressed my name yesterday. 885 application submitted on 22/4/2009 onshore, previous international student been working 2x fulltime here, paying so much tax. :-( God bless us soon. :-)
