Husband and i both nurses he is the main applicant though, Fingers crossed wont be waiting too long. Dom (31) Cheryl (31) Francesca (5) Luke (2) Have you not had a notification email that your application has been recieved? If so have a look at who sent it to you.......most likely it the person who is your case officer. If so have a look at who sent it to you.......most likely it the person who is your case officer. Our acknowledgement email was "Electronically Signed" and from a generic email address. I submitted my part of the application at the end of March and had my employers application approved 3 weeks ago, they submitted theirs at the end of January. I submitted my part of the application at the end of March and had my employers application approved 3 weeks ago, they submitted theirs at the end of January. When's a good time to start hassling immigration, and is there any point doing it yet as I don't know the name of my case officer? id leave until the 4th week then id be on the phone asking for a progress report/if you have a case officer to speak to. - you have a reference number/case number from the original email?? I know what you mean, it's seriously annoying when you see that other people get their visas so quickly when you submitted yours before them. Really what is there to check that takes so long? I've done nearly 3 years on my 457 visa, been at the same company the whole time and been offered a job for the next 3 years, what else is there to check??? OK rant over. On 35 working days so hopefully not too much longer. My proposed employer emailed yesterday & got the generic email! Good luck to all waiting. Although, the nomination for 457 refused due to market salary rates. The company did the application themselves & the info sent in was not enough. They are now using an agent to sort out. It appears each office does it differently. mine was sent to melbourne. I am in the UK, applied for my visa (ens 121) on 29th January, employer was approved on 26th April and I'm still waiting to be allocated to a case officer. Does anyone think this is likely to be completed before the end of June, in their 5 month timeframe quoted in every email? Many thanks for any advice or support offered!!! I made an enquiry to a wrong email address, that was forwarded to the pse email. I was asking if my application would be processed in the 5 month window constantly quoted in all emails. Out of the blue, I got the email which said that: Thank you for your email. We apologise that you have been waiting for a decion on your application for some time now. Unfortunately our office is dealing with a massive backlog of applications and as such this is slowing our procedures and it cannot be predicted when applications will be finalised. I would not rely on your application being assessed before the end of financial year. I guess that means the 5 month timeline has no basis in truth. It's driving me mad!!!! There is no consistency in approach or answers, and if you're in the UK it's impossible to find any other way to get an answer other than the email. Rant over I've been quoted times of between 5 - 9 months, never heard them say less than 5 months. I read another post recently that the end of financial year is also the end of the visa allocation year for immigration so they usually go quiet around this time.
