Hmmm, maybe I'm wrong, but I'm getting the impression that it's mostly IT professionals, academics and healthcare who are being processed at the moment.

That is great news....application on 22-06-2012 (NON_DRC) has a CO allocation................now that is promising....good luck to you bro..........! You can now start planning your trip as it is 121, you will have to leave the country...........! Where do you plan to head....?

Thanks Karma Nev,

I am offshore applicant, so need not worry about leaving the country. I did submitted requested documents before, but not along with the application, but through an email. I am hoping that the next mail from DIAC will be a grant letter as i have fronltoaded all the documents.

All the best for your application as well.

I am an academic but unfortunately have not heard anything. A few days ago I visited the Parramatta office personally to see if they could give any updates (we know calling DIAC is not much help) but without much luck. According to them I do not have a CO yet. My timelines are: ENS 856, Nomination approved June 4, Application lodged June 25.

Hi guys,

I am new to this forum but have the common issue with all - DIAC and their timelines. I have been in Australia for over 4 years now and all on bridging visas..!

started with an 885 application with a one year wait, then moved into a regional sponsored (SA) and finally now lodged a 121 (non drc) through the Melb Office as a Marketing Specialist. I am currently working with the company who sponsored me and still waiting..!!!

Submitted: 22/06/12

Visa: ENS 121 offshore

Nomination, application, medicals, police checks sent together: Yes

no Ack letter / no approval

CO assigned: not yet.

office - Melb

My MA works at the company as this is part of the services we offer to corporate organisations but still couldnt do anything to speed things up. I tried calling DIAC and they said that they should have sent the ack a long time ago but they are busy!

I have been reading some of the threads and saw that some people are getting CO's assigned and some others are even getting their PR's - Can someone shed the light on the current timelines...

The game of waiting has been very long for me and now I have a son (4 months old) who was born here but doesnt get the citizenship becuase neither his mom nor me have PR.. frustrating!

Any hope would be appreciated.

You really have some patience mate! Hope it pays off.

Quick question, how come you applied for the 121 considering you are working here it should have been an onshore application and not offshore?

My MA works at the company as this is part of the services we offer to corporate organisations but still couldnt do anything to speed things up. I tried calling DIAC and they said that they should have sent the ack a long time ago but they are busy!

Was it a DRC (decision ready checklist) application?

I want to apply under Marketing Specialist as well, either ENS or EOI. Either way I will qualify but I am noticing that DIAC is only processing specific occupations and not others.

For example Advertising and Marketing specialists have received ZERO invitation in 4 months for the EOI 189 visa.

So I guess they have a secret "internal" list of what ANZSCO codes they will process.

Sorry I could not be of much help, hang in there and stay positive!

Our DRC ENS 186 Visa was lodged on 24.09.2012 via the online process. The DIAC has taken the payment for Visa and we have not heard anything since. We are now in week 5, should I be worried its taking this long and we have not had a CO assigned?

Is there anyway I can check the status? Our agent lodged the visa on our behalf and said she would contact when see gets news. Just hate not knowing what is happening :(

ENS186 can be tracked online. If you have the TRN and password - you can check the progress of both nomination and application.

Congrats mate! Chillax time now!

I have a quick question: do you guys think it helps calling Parramatta once your

case is long delayed (lodged on 24-02-12) or it will just get them pissed at you??

I've sent an e-mail 15 days ago and got no response.... Starting to panic here! :/

Congrats Reddy,

Party time.... Enjoy ur PR status....

I have similar timelines as you... So I am getting excited...

Did you call Diac any time since you applied... I am asking this bcoz I have read in a few places that some times the application gets lost, meaning gets to the bottom of the pile you might say. And calling them might help...

I have never called DIAC, as my MA advised that it won't help.

Please let me know...

just called the DIAC. after 20 min waiting on the phone, got to talk to them and as expected

it didn't help at all. the girl said that the only thing they have access is if there's something

outstanding on the application, which she said is not my case. so she said I should contact

the processing centre to know more. she also told me there's no direct line to call Paramatta,

only e-mail, which I've sent 3 weeks ago with no reply.
