Am sick to death of my life being on hold, no holidays, cutting back.....well sod it I've booked an holiday for 10 wks time and......am going away for the weekend on friday to a caravan. Just waiting to see what the new SOL brings and how it will affect us, if at all, if we move to cat 2, will those already in the process move quicker. Lindsey (waiting game) we have done the same and booked to go to Barcelona for 4 days in August -should be hot hot hot. My boy is a huge Barca fan so we have booked stadium tour at Nou Camp. Thought now was time to do it as hopefuly it will be our last chance Hows the house sale going Proview? Hopefully plodding along. I do conveyancing as part of my job and have a very stressful one going through at the moment and I hope your sale doesn't mirror it :no: Everyone else - hope you are all keeping sane and enjoying this beautiful spring sunshine. Whilst cleaning the car yesterday I said to OH I need this in my life all the time and all he said was soon babe soon and he is so right. Lou xx I can relate to that. We thought we were going to get our visas in Jan, then it didn't happen, so decided we needed to get on with our lives. We had already sold our house and lots of belongings and had moved in with in-laws, so we decided to rent somewhere for 6 months (which was in a completely different county to where we had been living), boys started at a new school and hubby started his own consultancy business. Then April came and BAM we got the visa. So now everything is go, go,go. We thought the boys would be in their new school until end of year, but now they will be finishing at half term and we fly out on 11th June. Hopefully we will be sorted in time for them to start the new Ozzie school term in July. Yeh really couldnt wait any longer for a holiday, already been two yrs (well 2 yrs since we have been abroad) which has nearly killed me we are used to going away three times a yr and usual go to tenerife for christmas which we really love. Like you say dont know if it will make any changes in July but i bloody hope so, well and truely had enough of it all and sometimes begin to lose hope and interest. Its far too quiet and I have this feeling they are up to something!!! :unsure: I just hope it turns out to be good news for us all, but somehow I am not so sure... It never normally is, is it! I just hope that I am wrong! :yes: I hate being negative... (please prove me wrong DIAC!!!) Hope you are all enjoying this lovely weather. I don't mind the wait when its so lovely over here. Been very busy in the garden the last few days getting all flowers sorted and been busy staining the barn doors. Gary has been busy rendering the outside of the barn too and its looking really nice! I feel sure that when it starts to rain again I will change my mind. Did you read on another thread that a guy from DIAC had said that they had ceased all non csl visa's at the moment, think they are being very unfair to peeps in the process and could give us all better info as to what they are doing. Have e-mailed our agent this morning to ask him if tradies jobs are on the new SOL what difference does he think it will make to us, if any. Hi Lesley It is meant to be out but who knows with the DIAC... there is always a delay when they confirm a date! I think it will be a case of watch this space! I would not bother waiting up late for it, you will find out soon enough! Plus, it should not affect us anyway?! We already have our application in, so surely does not affect us?!
