Hi folks, im ready to get all my documents signed by a magistrate, but some are multiple pages long (eg course transcripts) - does each individual page require certifying, or can he/she just certify each document (eg the first or last page)?

can confirm now that perthprincess is correct in saying the ANMC will forward documents to WA and the only thing you will need to do is get your cert of registration from UKCC forwarded and pay the registration fee.

hope this helps

Every page needs to be signed/dated/position and company stamp. Do you know the Mag? hope they are not charging you too much per document !!!

Hi nicanday

you send the fee to uknmc with the form (they will send you this), its around £30. Fee to QNC is around £106, depends on the exchange rate. I think it is about $225. I've paid out so much I'm begining to lose track, what with medicals, police checks, postage etc. Hope this helps.

We are already registered with QNC, myself as RN and Mike as RNMH. We are currently on 457, and are about to apply for PR.

Aware that we have to complete modified assesments with ANMC - can we request that are files are sent from QNC or will we have to submit all documents again - after getting them certified - AGAIN!!!!

Any advice appreciated, as we didn't need skills assesments for 457 - and a bit clueless.

For the history of employment does it have to be HR as it states it has to be a registered nurse who signs it? Will HR just do this for you also?

do you know, im quite impressed. I contacted the employer i had back 1999 and spoke with HR. They had no problem in going back into the archives and doing me a letter. I just had to give previous HR info so they could find me on the system.

On the other hand the trust in Bucks (Feb 2004-Nov 2005) have now amalgamated with oxfordshire and werent so willing, but i have letters of start and contract ending dates. Inclusive of all letters when i changed roles etc - so im hoping that will suffice

Can anyone help? Just had phone call from university I trained at, asking where they were to send degree transcript to!!! I am applying for registration in Victoria and was under the impression that I had to send certified copy of transcript, not the university directly. The uni said that I would receive a copy of the transcript. Has anyone else had this.

I know that NMC sends registration verification directly to NBV.

I am now very confused, can anyone help/advice.

Many thanks

Hi, i'm having a bit of a panic so would be grateful for some clarification. Here in UK i completed my training as a RMN and have been working as one since.

I completed my skills assessment and have just registered with the NBV. I'm registered as Div1, general. Is this right?? please dont tell me i should have registered as div3 or specialist!!

I'm now panicing incase i misunderstood the different categories

Hey All,

Im new to this forum but need some advice.

Me and my husband and darling daughter desperatley want to emigrate to Australia (Perth to be exact) after living there for a year in 2004.

I am currently doing my nursing diploma and just wondered how long you have to be working over here to apply or do they count your training as work experience!

Also does anyone know how easy it is to get sponsors for nurses?

And can anyone briefly summarise the application process for me.

Hope to hear from you all soon

Lou

Hi, i've just gone through the process and am now registered with the nurses board of victoria. We have a visa application in so its just a waiting game now apart from the slight matter of selling the house!!

Once you've qualified i think oz prefers you do have some post registration experience, i have 1yr in my head but prob worth verifying that.

As far as employer sponsorship goes i'm not too sure. I do see many nurses here who have got sponsorship (adult nurses, i'm a psychiatric nurse) so it is certainly possible as is a state sponsorship visa.

The process that i underwent was to get a 'skills assessment' via the Australian Nursing Midwifery Council (ANMC) check there website for the application forms, then its a case of collecting all the relevant information and sending it in to be processed. Once i got the skills assessment we then applied for our 175visa at the same time as i applied to be registered with the nursing board of the state we want to live in, which for us is Victoria.

To get my skills assessment and register with nursing board of victoria prob took 3-4months. The biggest pain was verifying my working career as i have moved around and had a few jobs and it's 19yrs since i qualified so i had difficulty obtaining a transcript of my nurse training.

Just work you way through the application process carefully and you should be ok. If i can be of any help just ask

Good luck

Hi

My wife just qualified as a nurse in feb and hasn't got a job here yet, but has had an interview for a job in Perth (looking quite positive) and another one lined up for end of this month. The interview she had was for a graduate program over there, so might be the way to go if you don't have any experience. Think the only difference will be the money you start on over there.

Seems pretty easy to get sponsorship, they are desperate for nurses.
