The Ozcans
Great Britain isnt a country .......but we wont labour that one .Where did i say ,it was the " best country in the world" True. But in the olympics the team is GB. When you drive in Europe it's a GB sticker on the car. I was using it because it has the word GREAT in it!! But it's the best country in the world for you now, no? Guest Aldo
OR......... Don't worry if you're stuck in traffic on the overcrowded motorways.......you're only ever 2 minutes from a gorgeous picture postcard village. Don't worry about chavs.......you'll obviously be living in a 'nice' area and you'll never see any. Your children will be going to a 'good' school...........our education is the best in the world, and chav kids never go to school anyway. You're always only an hour away from Europe.......is practically free to get to and you'll have loads more holiday time to go there because we work less here. You'll have tons more 'choice' for shopping........every high street and town/city centre is full of independent shops. The weather is absolutely fine.........Brits just like to moan about it for the sake of it. It's never damp in UK.....only frosty and crisp. British culture is fantastic......most people visit museums and art galleries or study history. You won't need to go to any specialist shops.....Tesco deliver sausages....which are obviously excellent quality. What a fun game!! I don't think you quite understand the rules but feel free to carry on if you like..

ezzie
Young Bunbury...why do you say the UK is better for your children - there's so many people who would return to the UK but stay in Oz 'for the kids';.....do tell. We think there's a lot of opportunities in the UK but have been shocked by the amounts of regular boozing and smoking by (underage) teens, not to mention the violence and mouthiness. We think there's a lot of opportunities in the UK but have been shocked by the amounts of regular boozing and smoking by (underage) teens, not to mention the violence and mouthiness. I think for young children , Australia is a fantastic place to be born and brought up.....but for teenagers looking to spread their wings iam not so sure . I know of many kids , born and brought up in Oz , to British and Irish parents. These children are now, young men and women ,living back in the land of their mothers and fathers......because they perceive it to be where the action is..... The other point is the one of your situation in the UK. Cross a border from one area ,or one suburb or one council to another and the changes and opportunities change dramatically for that family and child. Move out of a Birmingham area ,,,,,,to lets say Worcestershire.....and the scene changes. SCHOOLING...HEALTH CARE,,,,,WELFARE.....HOUSE INSURANCE,,,,, That child may all of a sudden have facilities and education that wasnt available to them,in their previous postcode,

When I lived in London, obviously I knew a lot of Aussies. (And in other countries too). They were travelling the world, and stayed in London for a while to earn money and be with other Aussies too. I don't know what happened to all of them, but some went back, and there were some who came to London, and didn't like it and went back after a short while. Not all offspring of POM migrants return to the land of their fathers. (I know you didn't say they all do). But it depends on their personality and life - they're not salmon!!!!
