Hello everyone, just a dumb question for today. Recently I have competed bachelor degree in accountings and now trying to apply for 489 visa. I do have 7 each in PTE. I’m having experience in baker so is there any possibility if I can apply for 489 but with RPL certificate in baker? Any reply will be appreciated.

Well everyone, it's finally happened!!!! VISA GRANTED!!!! IF anyone knows my story I started last January working towards a 189 which was taking forever, caused lots of bad times and a relationship breakdown. Switched to a 489 in February and it's finally happened!!!! Couldn't be happier. Keep your fingers crossed everyone it happens when you least expect it

Timeline

Electrician (general) 60 points +10 SS

Applied for NT nomination - 09/02/18
State nomination granted - 12/02/18
Visa invitation - 14/02/18
Visa application lodged - 15/02/18
Medical - 20/02/18
Police certs for UK and Aus cleared-13/03/18
VISA GRANTED- 31/05/18

Late to the party but that's amazing. We just got a positive skills assessment back in 3 weeks rather than 3 months. My Wife sits the English test in 2 weeks when we'll then look to get the EOI in by the end of November. If we get that kind of turnaround i'll be so blooming happy! Hopefully my wife will have 65 + 10 SS for Vet Nurse which is on the NT priority list. Super happy today that the skills assessment came through so quickly.

Hi Guys. I lodged the Visa application on 16th Nov 2017 also uploaded all the relevant documents. But I haven't got any news from CO .... could you advice me how long it will take and what are the next steps.

This is almost one year.. if you have not got your invitation their could be different factors.

1. May be number of available seat has being filled.

2. May be you are scoring low points.

3. May be the documents submitted are incomplete.

Australia immigration authority invites only those applicants who are highly skilled and qualified with highest immigration score on priority bases. Therefore scoring good points increases your changes to get invitation.

Hi everyone,

I’m joining the 489 gang! :-)

State Sponsored 489 for the Northern Territory. ICT Business Analyst.

55 Points + 10 (20 IELTS, 10 Diploma, 25 Age).

Visa lodged 26th June 2018 (fully-loaded with Police Certificates, Medicals and Form80).

Case Officer Contact 17th October (we’d missed one check-box on the Form 80! No request for other information) and we haven’t had any contact since which is driving me insane!

I am hoping it’s soon as I have a job lined up!

You need to find out if there is a demand for Bakers in the state which you are applying for. Usually you should have a year experience with solid proof, full time payment and pay slips to apply. All the best

You don't need to worry about it as the process is quite slow but it gets done in the end. You need a lot of patience in this. Trust me.
