FYI:

"Hi X, Many of the checks and balances are automated, there may not be a need for a case officer to be assigned right up until the very end. You are unlikely to be contacted by a case officer or provided contact details, unless the case officer requires additional information. If you receive a request for additional information, the letter/email will contain instructions explaining how the case officer wishes you to respond.

All the best."

This was a reply given by the DHA on their official FB page. The topic was regarding citizenships processing time, but I have seen the same reply for visa applications.

Have a good day!

My file for 186 trt is in initial assessment.how long it can take for decision.

My timeline listed below:

Nomination and visa application 10/10/2016

Immi officer called 15/08/2018 (This officer spoken with our HR first, then she also talked to me and asked questions )

Company structure provided ( Officer asked our HR to provide this info during the call ) 17/08/2018

Marketing coordinator  TRT  HR  3

My IMMI account’s latest status : “Received”

23 months already...?

wow, that's a long wait for your. I strongly recommend you to get to the feedback Unit. They will write to NSW PSE to get back on to your file and will update you as well. Mine is a bit different. They did a company Audit and Asked the company for a list of docs. I have heard where there is an Audit is usually take about 2 - 6 months for Audit clearance to come. It usually takes 2 months for the Audit response after submission  but can take upto 6 months as well.

Hi guys, can someone let me know that is there requirement to have 3 years experience in the same field, before applying for Direct Entry 186 Visa/ Nomination?

i heard that if you got your qualification  assessment from Engineers Australia, then there is no requirement of 3 years experience. But if you haven’t recieved an assessment from EA, then there is a requirement for 3 years experience to apply for 186 DE.

Your help and experience will be appreciated.

i had got EA assessment as Professional Electrical Engineer. So want to apply for 186 Visa as Direct Entry

Country: LR

Applicants: 3

Nomination lodged: 6/9/2017

Nomination approved: 22/5/2018

Visa lodged: 28/5/2018

I have been checking my IMMI account like every minute since the visa lodgement and the waiting is seriously a pain in the xxx.

Need some advice to gauge by when I could get an update from them other than “received”. Or anyone facing similar situation please share your thoughts.

Dear All,

This is my first post, and I just lodged Nomination and Visa.

My timeline as below:

Occupation: Finance Broker

Visa: 457 to 186 TRT

Country: China (I am not sure LR or HR, I think it may be considered as HR, please correct me if i am wrong)

Applicants: 2

Nomination lodged: 03/09/2018

Visa lodged: 03/09/2018

Status: Received

Question 1.

I was employed by current company for more than 3 years, and I granted 457 Aug 2016. I want to know is there any one has same occupation? HR or LR for this occupation?

Question 2.

My friend told me that once I lodged the 186 VISA, I can apply the medicare. But I am not really confident with this comment. I want to know how you guys doing? Apply medicare, and keep private insurance as well, or just wait until grant 186 visa?

Question 3.

I received my wages and super from two difference entities. For the first 0.5 year (after granted 457 visa), I received my wages from our payroll company (my employer has payroll service agreement with this payroll company), and after 1.5 year, I get my wages from my employer. I just worry  about this arrangement will influence my 186 visa?

Question 4

My MA told me that my employer paid the SAF, and the past two years financials shows the training fee expenses (met the requirement). However, my MA did not ask any training evidence from my employer. I want to know is it Ok?

If you can give me some advise for above mentioned questions, I will really appreciated.

Thank you.

What’s the Audit? My owner was requested from a CO for a list of company docs to support the grant of my nomination, does it mean response will take 2-6months? In the end of the letter, there is position number of that senior decision maker? Can we contact them by the position number?

You could be looking at a longer wait as you have just lodged your Visa.

Normally... your Visa would be approved shortly after your Nomination, if lodged at the same time.

I know there are reasons as to why some people apply separately however for the quickest response - its always best to apply for them together.

I know saying that doesnt help your situation. You just need to sit tight and wait it out im afraid ?

Hopefully you are one of the quick ones...

Thanks bro, I’m kind of regret now I didn’t lodged both my nom+visa at the same time, anyway nothing I could do now.

Any idea, the 13-19 months of processing time is referring to the time of your nomination lodgement or I need to wait for another 13 months or more from the date of my visa lodgement? Oh no, this gonna be painful.

Guys as we all are in the same boat thought to ask and request if you share your feedback on "why did you apply for PR". Please share your reasons as this is just to keep our minds occupied and make us focus on our goal, your reason can be anything (stability, peace of mind, buying a car or house, better education for kids etc...) so if possible share so can we all can connect.

My reason - I want to buy a house and settle down in QLD.

It says 14 to 15 months on my account ( was 13 to 14 till yesterday).

Why they are increasing every month??

Hi @Abhijitkulk

I am applying for Direct Entry, I believe the processing time is different from TR.

But even this I cannot understand why they keep increasing it, while there are so many people getting the visa in less than 9 months.

HI @dschmidt

I think those cases getting their visa within 9 months are the direct grand with no further files asked from the CO.

If once CO asks for further documents ,the story might be different
