Hey I am also getting same thoughts. Its been 10 months since I last submitted the requested docs and I am still waiting for them to give me a genuine reason for not looking at my file again. Initially when i called they said files will be processed after Christmas as so many CO are on holidays then they said waiting for the first available officer to open your file....then they said looks like some work was done on your file last month and also last week.... then they said your case has been referred to Team B from Team A.... then they said we are waiting on some information on your file..... then a rude lady said don’t call us again and again we can’t tell you anything unless your nomination is approved, if anything needed we will contact you....then they said please write an email to ##### email asking about your application.....then the person replied in email that delay in your application could be because of various factors
1. Didn’t submit the full application ( I am thinking that if they still need anything else then they could let us know as they asked for docs before too)
2. Depends on processing criteria LR or HR, no of applicants and all ( [emoji848][emoji848][emoji848] I recently saw a PR grant for no. Of applicants 6, if it’s something to do with no of applicants and LR HR then they should show processing times based on these factors....then we would know exactly how long does it take to check docs for 4people where 2 kids and born here)
3. Time to obtain health clearance ( I can see clearly on my file it says health assessment successful no further action required)
4. Police clearance check( submitted police clearance twice and it was all clear with not a single extra word of any offence on it)
Wonder why they are playing with our lives. They make people wait for 2 yrs to reply with no. It really hurts when we see any refusal here that too after waiting for 18months to 2yrs.
But we won’t break easily. The best thing I have done now that I have pushed this visa thing at the very back of my mind. But yes it does come up now and then and also with the things you want to do or get and can get it too but the only reason you can’t get it at the moment is because you are not permanent resident of Australia. Then that anxiety and depression comes in ... but again we get above it all and start living without tension.
My aim to tell you this all is then don’t think about it and live your life to fullest. Don’t wait every minute. I have done that and it drags you to anxiety and depression. Just enjoy your life in days.

If you applied with uk passport then yes LR

That’s what my wife saying, forget about the grant, let’s do socialism, invite friends to home, get invited, hang around with them, it might help to forget the pain for a while. But the problem is few friends asking about my visa, and bring pain back to me all over again. 

(stress stress !!! Go away come again another day, little kaz wants to play, stress stress goooo away !!! )

Why did you apply visa after nomination grant? You could have been granted 6 months ago mate. You did really a big mistake. Feel sorry for you. Was bad choice !

The visa costs are too high, and the money will be lost if nomination gets refused. In his case there are five applicants, so I guess it is at least 15k cost in total.

I also applied for visa after I got my nomination approved. Even though in my case it is two applicants, I still do not want to risk loosing the money.

It is not a mistake, but a well planned and thought move.

Yes.. This is true. We just didn't want to take the risk of loosing all our money and decided to wait for Nomination approval first.. Loosing all the money vs waiting another couple of months extra .... Like you said, no mistake at all. I think You have a little more peace of mind having the Nomination approval in place. 

 

But.. I see some people withdraw the visa application after nomination refusal.  Will they get their money refunded if you withdraw quick enough? If not, why do you need to withdraw?

Nope, as far as I know it. By withdrawing the application in this case you just avoid having a visa application refused. The refused visa applications are usually requested to be declared in the consequent visa applications.

It was approved in February 2018, and I lodged my visa application in April. It is very close to your dates, so we can use each other for the reference

Nomination granted: today Sep 13th around 11am

PR granted: around 11:50am

Haven't been requested any further  docs.. even if medical and some police checks were already expired. But because before I applied for the 186 (nomination and visa), my company changed the ABN:/... so we applied for a new nomination, first got approved (which took only 2 weeks for the approval) and then we put the application for the 186.

If you follow the Immi rules, all will be ok! Just trust God

Can you please tell me the process once this happened. Did you withdraw both Nomination & application on the old ABN and re-apply with the new?

Hi  bro congratulations  mine case is similar as you my  owner changed it abn  then reply nomination again for 186 so my question is will two year count what documents you provide to get nomination approved

If there is change on ABN, so before you submit the nomination and visa for the 186 you will need to submit a nomination for 457 (doesn't start counting again)... as soon as the nomination on that new ABN is approved on the 457, then you can submit the nomination and visa for the 186.
