Hi guys! I am very happy to share good news with you. My PR has been granted 5 minutes ago! Hooray!!!! No docs or anything have been asked, a direct grant. I did application by myself, and recommend you doing so, to save heaps of money. Thank you all for the lively discussions on this forum. Be patient, and your turn will come. It seems they started processing April applicants now, by the way.

It looks like completing masters in Australia will qualify her for having functional English, see this link https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/meeting-our-requirements/english-language/functional-english

I would advise your wife to pass the IELTS now, if she did not do this yet (or other acceptable English test). As paying second instalment would be much more expensive, i.e., several thousands dollars.

It is a visa requirement that secondary applicant must have functional English, or pay the second instalment. (See the immi web site for the definition of functional English.)

It is a standard procedure to pay second instalment for the English of secondary applicant (hence, the invoice). All details are on the immigration web site.

It is roughly 1.5 visa fees. On the DoHA web site there is a visa fee calculator for the variable number of people.

I consulted with HR about my promotion, and decided to postpone it, as they said there is a slight chance it might affect the visa grant. So I decided not to take the risks.

Basically one has to pay a lot (to Deloitte, which then pays to government) for a priority processing. Not so fair I would say.

I think they stopped putting it there. I applied in April and do not have it.

Two people today mentioned they got rejection due to the missing org chart, and are saying there is no pattern. Isn't it a pattern?
