Yes me too- generally onshore is quicker but I think it depends on occupation more than anything... and hairdresser just tend to be left longer. I don’t know why! I wish I did! I’m in exactly the same boat as you! Best way to get through is to not even expect your application to be opened until 15 month mark! That’s how I’ve handled it... and it seems to work! God save us
Hi Guys silent reader here I have wrote my whole story before but lost it so write down again March 2013 I have applied student dependent and got rejection for my wife so I asked my boss to sponsor me and he said yes then I have applied 457 visa in June 2013 and got approval in October 2013 but before I lodge my file in October 2015 my company bought by another company in June 2015 so I have applied my nomination in July 2015 with new company and got rejection so again I checked my documents and rectified all mistakes and submitted again and got approval in December 2015 after that I covered my left over months for eligibility when it finished I asked my company for docs but HR manager took 6 months to make it ready until new Hr came and new lady she helped me and gave me all docs in one month . I have applied my 186 in October 2016 Got nomination approval just Thursday but on Wednesday I called on national helpline and used call back service and got call in 1 hour and someone amazing and very helpful guy talked to me very well and left comment into my file and got approval in 1 day. Thankful to that Gentlemen and god bless him

Thankful to that Gentlemen and god bless him Hi dear I called immigration today asking update on my file. They said waiting for nomination approval to finalise my application. I asked my employer to check on nomination file. He said no he doesn’t want to call immigration. My question is the time when you called your nomination was not approved. It was approved a day after your call. So did you get chance to speak to someone about whole file or you just spoke about your visa file?? I mean is there any chance i can call them and find out about nomination file Thanks

Should be like this but is not. Most of people in this forum tried to ask their MA to call the Immigration but they always find an excuse to avoid it. Deh
Is the MA who needs to check with Immi... what’s the story of the Employer to call the Immi? since the nomination is done by the employer (through a MA or not) they can also check it within immi. the visa, on the other hand, is under the employee's name, and that's why we can also check information related to it when we call them. Kanika
Hi, I am new to this forum, not even sure if I am on the right platform. I simply want to ask that I have applied for my 186 Direct Entry visa under Marketing Specialist on 20th Dec 2017. When do you think I can expect a case officer or any news from immigration? Thanks, K Edited March 12, 2018 by Kanika
