  1. Thank you both. I fully understand how the nomination works (been through this path). My question was specifically about importing the nomination into the Immi Account. Apparently the 482 cannot be imported in more than one account. Since the MA must have already imported it, I doubt my friend's boss will be able to access it.
  2. His employer has created an Immi Account as an Organization, and when tried to import the application it asked for the Reference Number, Date of Birth, Passport Number and Country. I would expect these questions for a visa application, not for a nomination. For example, what the DOB would be, considering the applicant is the company???
  3. Hi. A friend of mine had his nomination applied for subclass 482 back in June 2021, and haven't heard anything yet. His employer suspects the agent is holding back information, and would like to check the application himself. Can the employer create an Immi Account to check the nomination status? My friend created an Immi Account but seems to be able to import the visa application only, not the nomination. Thank you.
  4. My company has applied for 186 TRT for one of our cooks and she had her nomination approved without further documents requested. Applied roughly 4.5 months ago and got approved last Friday. For her VISA, Immi requested finger prints and medical examination, which she is doing in the next few days. She has been on a 457 visa since July 2015 as a cook, is from China and is a single applicant.
  5. I have first applied in 2017, got refused in 2018, re-applied in 2018 and had PR granted in 2019. Same as above, make sure your MA is great. Unfortunately due to the amount of scammers applying as managers/chefs/cooks, Immi is being very hard and sometimes even unfair. But I believe if your application is genuine you will be fine (won't be easy though).
  6. Truly happy for you. A refusal is a pretty bad knock down but once you can see there's still hope it feels good. Hope you get your PR soon!
  7. I was still on my 457. If I'm not mistaken, my new MA told me back then that I could only apply for a new 186 TRT while my 457 was still valid. I don't think you can do it on a Bridging Visa (I might be wrong though)
  8. My previous MA didn't add the 2018 financials to the application, and Immi didn't ask for them. They just refused my nomination using this as a motive. On the second time I made sure everything was properly done and lodged. But to give you a straight forward answer, the company financial situation was the same for both applications.
  9. I already did. It's for the same reason as the person I was replying to: "because my company can't afford me for next two years"
  10. I had my first nomination refused for the same reason, also as a Restaurant Manager. I quickly applied for AAT just for the nomination and withdrew the visa application. At the same time I applied for a new 186 TRT (nomination + visa), with the same employer but a different MA. After 8 months my second nomination and visa were approved and I got my PR. I then withdrew the AAT case :) It might look a lot but I didn't want to put all my eggs in just one basket, that's why I had two applications running at the same time. Spent a lot of money but don't regret it for even a split second. Good luck with your case!
  11. Can't even believe I'm typing these words! I haven't got my golden email yet but the silver one has arrived yesterday Long journey, here it goes: Occupation: Cafe Manager Location: Melbourne, VIC Country: HR Business turnover: around 7 million Staff: We have 3 sites, I manage the biggest one and have around 50 staff under my watch. Only 2 other people on 457 Visa (cooks, soon applying for their 186 TRT) 1st 457 approved: August 2014 2nd 457 approved (changed employers): April 2015 Lodged 1st 186 TRT Visa and Nomination: May 2017 Nomination refused without any documents request: June 2018 (apparently business wasn't financially strong enough to keep me for another 2 years) Visa application withdrew before being refused: June 2018 Lodged 2nd 186 TRT Nomination: July 2018 Lodged 2nd 186 TRT Visa: August 2018 Received famous email on April 4th 2019 regarding Nomination being allocated to CO soon and on April 5th also received email regarding Visa being allocated to CO soon Medical exams done on April 2019, right after receiving both emails above Nomination approved without any further documents request: May 24th Waiting on Visa approval. Immi has requested home country police clearance again, which we will submit on Monday 27th. Looking forward to good news! Once my 1st Nomination was refused I have lodged AAT as well (did at the same time my 2nd Nomination and Visa applications were lodged. With Immi you can never be too safe I guess). My MA said that I can ask for AAT fee refund, might do so once Visa is approved. What a happy Friday it was!!!
  12. Someone (Flo03) has asked same question a couple of weeks ago and Raul Senise replied the following: "This could be a fatal error for your visa application. You can try and lodge an incorrect answer form and provide the correct TRN to see whether they will accept it. Unusually a change of TRN is not accepted, although it is usually associated with trying to attach the visa to a new nomination due to a refusal. As this was an honest mistake, they may accept it. Some professional advice and a professionally written response to the natural justice letter may be wise." You might be able to seek advice from him.
  13. Same here. We all make mistakes but some posts really make me wonder how the hell they passed the English test.
  14. My bad. My brain is so cooked that I completely misread his post. You are right, they are the same. Silly me.
  15. Where did you get this from? Home Affairs website shows different on the 186 webpage https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/employer-nomination-scheme-186
  16. Didn't your MA check the training amount before lodging your nomination? What did he say about the refusal?
  17. no, you are the one confused. he asked "Hi everyone. My friend has question. After applying for 186 visa during that processing time can a applicants work extra job on side while working full time for nominated employer. Since he is no more on 457 visa which is expired now. Thanks." since his friend is on a bridging visa from 457 to 186 he still carries the 457 conditions. until his 186 is granted he can't work anywhere else.
  18. You're wrong. This is from the Immi website Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457) Your obligations If you are granted a subclass 457 visa, there are certain conditions that apply to you depending on whether you are the primary or a secondary visa holder. You must comply with the visa condition or conditions that apply to you. Failure to do so might result in your visa being cancelled. Mandatory Visa conditions Mandatory Condition 8107 This condition applies to all primary subclass 457 visa holders only. You must: only work in your nominated occupation start work within 90 days of arrival in Australia if you were outside Australia when your visa was granted, or within 90 days after your visa was granted if you were already in Australia at the time only work for the sponsor, who nominated the position you are working in (if your sponsor is a standard business sponsor and is an Australian business, you can also work for an associated entity of the sponsor) not cease employment with your approved sponsor for a period of more than 60 consecutive days – if your visa was granted on or after 19 November 2016 not cease employment with your approved sponsor for a period of more than 90 consecutive days – if your visa was granted before 19 November 2016 obtain any mandatory licence, registration or membership necessary to perform your occupation in Australia and comply with any provisions within 90 days: after initial arrival in Australia on this visa from date of visa grant if already in Australia if your visa was granted on or after 1 December 2015 you must also: not engage in work that is inconsistent with your licence, registration or membership notify us in writing as soon as practicable if your application for the licence, registration or membership is refused notify us in writing as soon as practicable if your licence, registration or membership ceases to be in force or is revoked or cancelled.
  19. since the nomination is done by the employer (through a MA or not) they can also check it within immi. the visa, on the other hand, is under the employee's name, and that's why we can also check information related to it when we call them.
  20. If I remember well when you apply for a 457 visa one of the questions they ask is how the wages will be paid. My first boss used to pay cash (although it was on the books and with super) and we have stated that to Immi. Never had a problem. When I transferred my visa to my current employer I remember the agent asking this question again. Check with your friend if he has reported this from the beginning, if so it might be easy to deal with (a letter from the accountant perhaps will do alongside with the form where he has reported it in the past).
  21. Which state? I applied Nomination in May 2017, Visa in June 2017 from Melbourne, no news yet
  22. My MA told me this a while ago. Of course with Immi everything is unpredictable however apparently they do wait 28 days to reopen your file, even if you deliver the documents 2 split seconds after the request.
