Kashif.Iqbal
There is a massive change in processing times, 12 months to 18 months for 186 TRTA applications as per 19th november update. I'm very surprised, why the update processing times so quick, even 2 times in a month last update was made on 10th november and now this one on 19th. I didn't understand, can someone explain this! Kashif.Iqbal
I can still see processing time for 187 TRT applications is only "64 days". What is this?

BB88
Unsure if this has been answered before. When the global processing times update monthly, does this reflect the number of months to process an application that was lodged on that day or from when the application was first lodged? If that doesn't make sense, let me use an example: If the application is submitted on 1-JAN-2018 and the processing times are 6-9 months (I wish) then you'd expect a grant around JUL or OCT (hypothetically of course) Then on 21-NOV-2018 the processing times are 12-18 months, does this mean that is 12-18 months further from today or 12-18 months from 1-JAN-2018? Probably a big unknown with Immi, but thought I'd ask.

Every time I asked this question (this forum, my own MA, etc.) they say that the current processing time is applied to all visas I'm afraid (that's also why they update this time on immi portal), however, from what I can see here, we have a lot of applications from Feb approved at the moment, so it's definitely within the first timeframe which was 9 months... Anyway, as you probably know already, there is no point to make assumptions, this is totally random

Kashif.Iqbal
It's a pathetic n unprofessional behaviour of immigration department. Either decision is negative or positive they must let us know with in said timeframes.

I rejoice with you, enjoy your new season on PR. Your story confirms that nominations of big firms are absolutely prioritized, whereas small businesses are neglected by immi. This tells me that processing time mostly depend on two main criteria : occupations and nominator. Low or high risk country or number of applicants should play a minor role.

If they could predict every process and decision i am sure they will tell you your decision will be ready by a certain time. Some applications take longer and require a much detailed assessment than others. it is clear they work on priorities as well. so really the might or might not give you a decision within the said time frame or even they might surpass the given time frames by months. 2
