Hi, I have just moved to Queensland from NSW and been advised that will get a new date for citizenship testing for QLD. Does anyone know what the current dates for testing in QLD is? And how long one waits to hear from them after transfer? TiA EZ

@Hex My agent advised that I submit a letter from the embassy to indicated that I have applied for my passport. They say that this should suffice in lieu of the passport. Thoughts? Thanks so much. Through the numbers you have given me I have managed to get the number of one of the directors at DHA in SA. Waiting on a response but will hit the phones again tonight if nothing.

There is Movement! My Application has been moved to Initial Assessment!!! ISSUE: They are requiring a valid passport. My South African passport expired last year Sept 2018 but the application for the new one is sitting with the South African govt since July 2018. The South African govt have given me generic timelines and expediting my passport is not an option Has anyone been in this situation? Thank you

Makes complete sense. The larger firms will be accredited due to the large number of employees they sponsor. I am in smaller boutique firm. Thanks.

Hi @babysleep It's quite a process with Hong Kong. I helped a friend navigate the process . It's best to check the HK gov website. All the steps are there and you need the immi letter attached as HK govt wants to know the reason and proof of the reason. You will use the Aus Post office but not all Post offices know the full process so best to go the the ones where there is a big HK expat community such at the CBD. Hope this helps.
