After applying for 186 visa during that processing time can a applicants work extra job on side while working full time for nominated employer. Since he is no more on 457 visa which is expired now. Thanks." since his friend is on a bridging visa from 457 to 186 he still carries the 457 conditions. until his 186 is granted he can't work anywhere else. Definitely he should check the condition first before asking, the immigration changed, now all the condition on Bridging visa A is mostly NIL. They don't take conditions from the old visa anymore. But since this is a 186 forum I will answer 186 things.
Vic154
GREAT! This guy/gal is June 1st too. Dear to dream! My company have employed a special firm to look into why mine has taken so long. One of the most respected immigration firms in Australia apparently. They (the lawyers not immi) have already had all docs updated on the nom side and have taken over my application too. Apparently my company has 100's applications currently in for senior execs and professors and have been talking to immi constantly. It seems my situation may work in the end but its not without a serious detriment to my health! Wow sounds hardcore probing into immi, great let us know if you find out any info. I’m similar to you, work for big well known Aussie company in senior position so hoping my time will come soon. I applied sept so reckon it will be sept/oct. annoying thing is I did my medical extra early in June 2017 so probs gonna have to do again which is a pain. I don't think you can work another job on 457 but i am saying about 186 here @ring3018 you better check @Rizwan question. 186 visa is for 457 visa holders. So till you get 186 visa you need to fulfill 457 visa conditions. Looks like you are really confused.

He should really check his Bridging Visa A conditions, as that working condition may be different for him, but it is now normally nil, so while he is on the bridging visa A, he can work for anyone for whatever hours within the law. seems to be a fair bit of confusion and assumption going on...

Then you can try your Nomination Attempt #3. I wasn't going to reply @mjayy, but you've got me... So, unfortunately you are diverting from the misinformation and wrong answers you are putting to the forum and making it a tad personal at me and @ring3018, which isn't a great direction but I get it, defensive. Even in your insult you are still wrong which is hilarious.....the nomination was refused....why would I upload my personal documents to the business nomination? This refusal was pretty down-putting for me and my partner through no fault of my own, and I've come to the forum to help others through the knowledge I've gained, and also find a group of like minded people, you don't seem to be one of them, but that's fine, I don't expect everyone to see things the same way. Would you like to admit that the information you've put forward was incorrect? Or should we all trust the mighty mjayy who has been part of the forum for two months over the advice of a registered migration agent; if you dont have a 457 visa, withdraw your Direct Entry application immediately, and if you applied onshore and your Bridging Visa A has 'NIL' in the working conditions box, then immigration are lying, and you can still only work for previous 457 sponsor..... 2

I wonder if you know that 186 has 2 streams, direct entry and TRT here? Excuse me?And I am saying, the Bridging visa A now is mostly NIL condition, so his question is, if his 457 expired and he has Bridging visa A, can he work for another employer? a big YES. Yeah sometimes your silent may be helpful than answer the rude way you are. For some visa applications (e.g. partner, skilled visas) the BVA usually doesn't have any conditions on it. But for a lot of visas the BVA will carry the same conditions as the original visa. Everyone who is issued a bridging visas should read it carefully to understand what it does and does not allow them to do.

If you bridging visa is active and has no work limits like most of the cases you can do second job. Don't get confused asking people. Speak to your MA he should answer you for that. Make sure your 457 Visa has expired already because if it is not your bridging visa is not active then and there is a work limit on 457. millski88
My Immi Account says 8-11 months for TRT but the Global Processing Times says 8-9 months. Not that it's really that accurate, as we know, but does anyone know which is most up to date?

Sdec
Hello fellows applicants, I am new at this forum and I wanted to share my experience and ask for an advice to anyone in my same position. Three months ago my employer decided to help me with a sponsor visa 186 direct entry because of my performance in the company. After that, I contacted an Immigration agent to help me with this complex process. 4 weeks ago my company finalized sending ALL the required documentation to my immigration agent. Now, I have been waiting over 4 weeks so the agent can apply for the nomination and visa. Although everything is ready, he (IA) told me that he is not going to apply until the "instruments" are available and passed thru the parliament. And he told me: "it is bad luck for you that regulations are changing" My student visa will expire soon and I am really worried after all this situation. After explaining my current position I would like to ask you guys if this is true (not recommended to apply now)? Is it possible to apply to visa 186 today without any problem? I don't know whether I should change my IA or should I continue waiting? i really look forward for your comments a kind help. thank you
