  1. Big congrats mate, feels good doesn’t it. I’ve had my PR a month now and still checking on here. Hard habit to break! Wanted to see how everyone’s getting on. Count down on for citizenship now! Altho PR is the main thing and can take or leave citiz Oh and go to Canada skiing not Japan ;)
  2. Mate currently got the champers in hand. Today is a good day! You’ll get yours pretty soon no doubt. Seems marketing specialist are low down on list, I have a couple of mates with marketing specialists apps in. Luckily for me sales managers slightly higher in priority list! You shouldn’t worry won’t be long. Take care all, sure I’ll still be checking this forum daily, old habits die hard n all that.
  3. Guys, thought I’d have a look at my immi account last night to see on off chance if I also would have some luck on a Saturday and there it was before my eyes..... FINALISED! It all feels a bit surreal. Can't believe it....been here nearly 7 years....have had 2 457s, and even applied for PR three years ago but had to withdraw application due to circumstance at the time. Like everyone been a long road of lots of stress and worry that it would never happen. Nomination & Visa - 01/09/2017 186 TRT 2 ppl LR - UK Sales & Marketing Manager NSW Granted 26/05/2018 I've probably been checking this forum every day for the past three years!! (Since my first PR application) Wish everyone the best of luck especially the regular contributors in here

  5. ‘Mr Granger said the program changes and lack of resources meant there were growing numbers of visa refusals that ended up at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. "This results in a significant rise of unwarranted refusals, and transfers time delays and costs over to the Appeals Tribunal," he said. "The Appeals Tribunal is wasting resources on expensive tribunal members deciding on simple visa matters."
  6. Worth a read this morning guys... current migration program described as ‘chaotic’ http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2018-05-22/bridging-visa-surge-overwhelms-permanent-migration-cuts/9785946?pfmredir=sm
  7. A friend of mine got their PR on Monday just gone TRT Sales & Marketing Visa and nom applied mid Aug 2017 They’re really is no logic to any of this!
  8. Why do you think that mate? Surely they would still open your file at same time? They wouldn’t open it any quicker would they? And just ask you for medical, etc
  9. Check out the spreadsheet, will give you answer you need. Average is around 11-12months wait for cook I estimate but have a look and decide yourself
  10. Why on earth are you worried? You should be over the moon, they are processing your visa! Not long to wait now. I would be very happy to swap places with you if you like
  11. Someone’s just hidden the rows. I can’t figure out how to unhide them on my phone
  12. I’m same as you mate, huge company, turnover and decent salary. It’s all about the occupation
  13. Phew that’s a relief! Thanks for the info, yeah will defo get a AFP straight away. At least that’s simple and relatively cheap!
  14. Hi guys, does anyone know how much time buffer they’re giving to medicals expiring? Is it bang on 12 months and you have to do them again when your case is allocated? I know it’s up to CO discretion, etc but wondering if anyone knows more concrete. I’m about to cross the 12month mark of doing my medical as stupidly did it before I applied and wondering if I’m going to have it done again. Cheers
  15. Fair enough if they applied on same day! but as we all know there is sometimes cases when someone has to wait a year longer! My point is the occupations are already filled by the applicant, they’re here working in that occupation already so why need to fast track? It is what is I know, just saying
  16. I disagree that’s it right to prioritise certain occupations for 186, even if they are a doctor, etc cos at the end of the day we are all in Aus and working for our sponsoring employer, so why fast track? What difference does it make to economy? Except if they are offshore and waiting for visa before coming to Aus, then I understand fast tracking required occupations. #stupidsystem
  17. Wow sounds hardcore probing into immi, great let us know if you find out any info. I’m similar to you, work for big well known Aussie company in senior position so hoping my time will come soon. I applied sept so reckon it will be sept/oct. annoying thing is I did my medical extra early in June 2017 so probs gonna have to do again which is a pain.
  18. There’s been a few since you’ve been gone mate, so things are looking up. They’re working on Apr/May marketing apps by looks of it
  19. What if you have done medical and provided police certificates at time of application but 1 2 month passes without your visa being processed? Do you immediately have to get them all done again or will they still ask you for updated ones?
  20. Add your details on here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1INy6sxuUIisgLOT7CcskWLjQjHV_6yVvUBRHceWE_a0/htmlview#gid=1244798606 Are you market specialist DE or TRT?
  21. Yes! I’m Sales and Marketing manager applied Sept. Guess I have at least another 6 months though. Cheers for giving hope!
