Bouncy
Hi there, hope someone can help. I'm trying to work out a vaguely accurate figure of what I might earn as a registered nurse in Australia. I've been qualified for 10 years and work in paeds on a specialised unit. The pay scale in western australia goes up in points 1.1 1.2 1.3, is this years of service,1.1, 1 year, 1.2 ,2 years and so on? Thanks in advance for any help with this? Hi Bouncy http://www0.health.nsw.gov.au/nursing/employment/nurse_award_wage_rates_11.asp this link is for NSW. The top increment for registered nurses is 8 years, so you would be looking at somewhere in the region of $76,160 if you were to work in a private hospital. Mirmai
Hi all, help! Im pulling my hair out! 12 weeks ago, i asked my manager for a professional reference, and even though ive asked about its progress i still havent had it! Ive provided her with ANMACs prof ref template, and still nothing! I asked the other day again, and her reason now is that shes frightened that shell do something wrong and mess things up for me!! i was wondering if somone would be so kind as to share their prof ref with me (personal details deleted of course), so that my manager has another point of reference! (Im sorry to ask, but ive paid for an assessment thats going nowhere without this). thanks in adavance for any help or advice to point me in any direction, mir x

Guest lulum1986
I was searching online. It's with an agency. I wanted agency work as I want to travel and then work if I need the funds. The agency I work for at home is the same company I will be working for in Australia. I was gonna go in September but I haven't saved enough so I'm leaving it till Jan. they have been great. I just can't wait to send this ahpra application off, because its hard. I have collected everything I need just awaiting a reference of my two jobs and I'm doing BLS and manual handling updates 29th April. Then my mate who is a solicitor will sign everything for me and I will eventually send it off

pacticenurse
They only accept certified documents from justice if peace of notary public, not all solicitors are notary public, you can check online the notary public register in your area, that's what I did and cost me £45 to have everything certified. Quite cheap compared to some.
Guest lulum1986
Aww ok ill ask him he said he's done it loads of times before and has this stamp he uses, hopefully he is lol
pacticenurse
Yeah, that's right, he probably is a notary public then if he's done it before, but best double check so you don't end up having your documents refused at ahpra,

nickyjkas
I have used a solicitor for some of the documents for ANMAC as it says legal practitioner can certify. My agent has sent it off so hoping it will suffice!
pacticenurse
Not sure about AMAC but I know the AHPRA definitely only accept justice of peace or notary public for certifying documents for overseas nurses and midwifes. Good luck with it all though..
