Thistle13
Part of my exercise of listing pros and cons, deciding should I stay or should I go...... I came up with things I would miss and not miss leaving Australia, but took weather out as its a no contest. Naturally, these are my experiences but I thot it would be fun to share 3 of them and maybe you'd like to add yours. Three things I'd miss about Australia if I went back to the UK 1. Hanging out my washing and knowing it would dry on the same day. 2. AFL - yes I got hooked on it, its somewhere you CAN take your kids, unlike most fitba games. 3. Westfield shopping centres Three things I WONT miss about Australia apart from the weather 1. Flies, mossies, spiders........infact ALL the creepy crawlies 2. Four and twenty pies 3. Unfriendliness of the natives (in cars, in shops, etc)
Lambethlad
Definitely AFL - best game in the world.
W8ENN
I would miss friends, beaches and BBQ's I wouldn't miss spiders, hardly any roundabouts so having to do a 5km detour to turn round and spiders
Rupert
Three things I'd miss about Australia if I went back to the UK 1. Friendliness of the natives. 2. Blue skies (I know they are not every day but they are often enough). 3. Beaches and living with ocean views Three things I WONT miss about Australia 1. Humidity 2. Supermarkets 3. Australian Drivers
Quoll
Sort of done this before but: MISS - wide car parking spaces - powerful showers - the grandkids DON'T MISS - the dawn cacophony - phoney "friends" - the summer heat with its attendant flies and mozzies

Quoll, we have a mains pressure shower which is as powerful as an Aussie shower, just dont use one of those horrible electric showers. bunbury61
You kidding me, most boring game I have ever watched after men's beach volley ball. GREAT GAME ..........love it ...........i was in my 30s when i lived there ......and only got to play in friendlies with my aussie mates .....if i had been younger i would have played it seriously ..............loved it Even better is watching the aussie rules blokes play our football ..........funny .........extremely fit and rugged ........but just a touch unco ordinated . The british and irish lads who played our football to a good standard ......if they could take the physical ....made very good aussie rules players ...........i bloody loved it watching it close up live .......on the boundary , as i have , gave me a great appreciation and respect for those blokes.
