Guest Lisa26
That all sounds a bit odd helent113  As for where your application ends up, which AHPRA office, I think that ends up as a lottery - we posted ours to the Adelaide office, via Airsure so we could check on delivery, but the online checker kept referring only to Melbourne (not where we wanted) . Perhaps you could phone AHPRA and actually speak to someone and check on all of this as I know other forum users have had similar problems and once they rang, the documents all magically reappeared. Good luck with it all. Hey Val, just seen that you had a pretty quick turn-around with the melbourne office, that's great!! Mine was sent there last month...received in their office 18th May. Still not heard anything re: eligibility. Did you have to phone them? I know everyone's saying to keep ringing AHPRA but I was told initially by them (when I phoned up to find out why they hadn't received my application, only to be told they'd typed in my email address wrong....good job I phoned!) to wait 4-6 weeks to phone, so I was gonna wait 6 weeks. Do you think that's right or should I ring before? Just don't wanna be pushy!! Thanks Lisa

My airsure papers went through Melbourne but the Registered International airmail went through Brisbane. All were delivered to Darwin in the end though.
Kapri
Hi all I sent all my docs to the Brisbane office and got an email on 11th May to say they had been received. They have not taken any money and I haven't heard any more from them. Do you think it's too soon to phone? It's been just over 4 weeks. GilraenH
Hi all I sent all my docs to the Brisbane office and got an email on 11th May to say they had been received. They have not taken any money and I haven't heard any more from them. Do you think it's too soon to phone? It's been just over 4 weeks. I would email them and remind them that they have up to 6 weeks as per their website information to complete the overseas assessment. Ask them if there is anything they require to help them complete the assessment. How long will my application take to process? If your application is considered complete This means AHPRA has received all the information to complete an assessment. Refer to the relevant section of The Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act 2009 ('the National Law'). The standard timeframe for the assessment of a complete application is: Up to 10 days for graduate applications Up to 10 days for provisional to general applications Up to 10 days for specialist applications (where general is already held) Up to 4-6 weeks for all other application types. Others have then forwarded this onto the ombudsman if not addressed by APHRA and it has been addressed then promptly. Good luck

Val Tibenham
I have just fired off an email. Hopefully I will hear soon. I am desperate to start applying for jobs! Personally I'd phone them if you can - they always seem very slow to respond to e-mails.
GilraenH
Personally I'd phone them if you can - they always seem very slow to respond to e-mails. Do both, but for the Ombudsman to intervene you need proof that you raised it with APHRA, hard to deny emails but phone calls unless recorded 'might not have happened'. Good luck.
Alison28
WOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO! :jiggy:I've just received confirmation of my eligibility for registration! Just need to go to local AHPRA office to prove identity and for CRB clearance, but got a year to do that! Can finally apply for the jobs I've seen! I have to say that I have no complaints about the way AHPRA have dealt with my application. I have found the communication and efficiency faultless! Well done AHPRA!
