  4. Congratulations... Fab feeling.... We got our visas last Thursday, we leave in 5 weeks but have so much to do!! January will soon arrive. Happy packing
  5. Thanks for all your wishes... I managed to sleep last night and feel somewhat less shocked today... but very happy :jiggy: Just in time for Summer sounds great..... and NO! I don't want to bring any wet weather with me lol although I'm taking a cool pair of wellies just in case
  6. Thank you  Now the hard work begins... I've so much to do in the house, why do I always leave things to the last minute!!?? I can't wait to be in the sunshine
  7. HHHOOOWWW EEEXXXCCCIIITTTIIINNNGGG!!! Visa approved .... that's me and kids off to Brisbane the end of November.... 6 weeks today ..... so much to do!!! Thanks to PIO for all the info and guidance... it made the whole process so much easier.
  8. Any Jonathan Creek episodes are enough to keep me awake at night :err: Watched the trailer for para normal 4 last week... Never!! Went to see Ruby Sparks last night.... Slept like a baby :-)
  9. You'd be surprised what Tenant's rights are!!! NEVER AGAIN  At least it's keeping me busy whilst awaiting the Visa
  10. My main issue has been selling the house with a tenant insitu! 6 months later - I have sold the house (phew) Had an eviction date for the tenant to go but she has since applied for a stay of execution! I have to go back to court to appose this as I hope to complete on the house sale the day after the eviction (if she wins the case she could end up staying a further 6 weeks and I could lose the sale) then all being well with the visa fly out 4 weeks later.... living on the edge seems to be my bag :-/
  11. Congratulation..... How exciting... Best of luck
  12. Me too... signed it myself as per AHPRA's instruction.... You must declare on your CV: that the ‘The Curriculum Vitae is true and correct as at (insert date)’. This declaration must be signed and dated.
  13. Hopefully the call will get the wheels in motion and you'll hear from them real soon :-)
  14. Great news Liz. I couldn't fault AHPRA either... they were super quick. x
  15. Hold on in there Val.... I suppose they've got to say that time scale as worst case senario otherwise we'd all be on the phone everyday! We know by this thread that Adelaide have put the apps through pretty quick. Try and enjoy your weekend..... it was the only time I slept well haha. x
  16. Maddie, I left school 27yrs ago (how long!!!) ... luckily my old school was still standing so I called them and asked if they'd write a letter stating I was taught in English etc. I got this letter certified along with the exam certs ... the more evidence the better I thought. Good luck with your application
  17. Go me!!!!! I've only gone and bagged myself an Australian Midwifery Registration  20 days too!!! Thank you Adelaide
  18. Hi DreamingOfAus I sent my app to Adelaide... it was received on the 6th June. I got an email off them on the 8th June requesting my NMC Certificate; this was sorted the very same day. I was on nights last night so called to see if they had received it.... 3 times I called but no answer. I eventually sent an email at 4am..... so awaiting their response. I know I haven't had to wait as long as some people, but the wait is killing me haha... I check my phone constantly for emails etc!! It's great working nights; I sleep when they do... so sleep well  Good luck... keep us posted.
  19. Congratulations; best of luck with the job hunting.
  20. Great things come to those who wait
  21. I'm sure it won't be .... your mum was on the ball with the app and all that had to be sent  here's hoping I'm not too far behind you both. I'm still checking my emails constantly.....but getting some sleep at least:yes: haha
  22. Thats fantastic news, you must be delighted. Its been no time at all.... But still stressful waiting hey.... Has your mum heard?
  23. Cheers. It's such a stressful process :-/ I'll need a few weeks off work when it's all over x
