Perth is not in recession now that is false information. Having lived in both Melbourne and Perth it's definitely Perth for me especially with a young family to raise, but opinions are just that. If you are happy you qualify for the visa I suggest you research as much as possible on both locations that research is probably best done not on this website but from other sources, there is a wealth of valuable information here about visas, but everything else is just opinions and when one is given it is usually counters straight away with a differing one so not much us to the OP. I'd be looking hard at the job situation where ever you chose though. Good luck.

You being serious? Most diesels have only broken in at 100k and should last to 500k and beyond if well cared for, modern petrols last longer than 150k as well. They should unfortunately in the UK the damp conditions get to them, just compare cars on carsales.com.au against cars on autotrader in the UK, you just don't get anywhere near the same mileage out of UK cars.

Probably if you are used to humid 30 fortunately we don't have that problem here.

Anywhere can be dangerous if you look deep enough, the UK had an amber warning against it over Christmas on the Australian government travel website, it’s the modern world unfortunately.

Apart from the language spoken yes pretty much the same a big city is a big city is a big city to me. Not trying to convince anyone but your constant blabbering on about Europe being the be all and end all is a bit boring tbh if your idea of fun is an easy jet flight and 50p pints then crack on I want my kids to experience a bit more diversity than that. I don’t read up on the UK weather it’s normally reported on in my chosen news outlet online and it catches my eye when I tend to read on here how tropical the weather is currently in the UK but there are flights being cancelled at airports I tend to wonder who’s lying the papers or the posters ?

Well it's good that we are all different, I have been to Rome, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Prague, Bern, Amsterdam etc.etc.etc and to be honest they are pretty much the same very interesting the first time but the second time well meh, hopefully once I have raised my children safely in Perth they will travel and experience Europe as long as it isn't blacklisted by the Australian government Europe in general does seem to be getting more dangerous! They will however have Asia on there doorstep to explore.

Second hand cars do tend to hold there value a lot more in Australia but from experience the Aussies are pretty bloody anal about servicing and looking after there motors, most UK petrol cars are done at 150k miles diesels at 200k miles I knew no one who drove cars with that sort of mileage back in the UK besides the damp conditions trashed the body far before they could reach there potential. You will pay more for a similar aged car out here but they are worth it if you know what you are looking for, and you will pay more if you are in WA I bought a car from interstate and had it shipped pretty simple process and I know plenty of people who bought interstate and collected it.
