  1. A bit overcast first thing but another perfect Perth day out there now.
  2. The waters South of the river are less prone currents and rips as they are in sounds Cockburn and Warnbro, generally much safer swimming than NOR.
  3. Last year the weather in May and June was fantastic winter didn’t kick in until July hope it’s the same for you this year.
  4. It was Shoalwater beach, the wind always increases in the afternoons it’s referred to as the Fremantle doctor very welcome most the time but can ruin a trip to the beach sometimes when it’s whipping the sand around. The beaches north of the river tend to get the wind more than the South as Cockburn and Warnbro sounds are a bit more sheltered. You must visit the Southern beaches when you come over next Waikiki and Warnbro beaches are the best in the Perth metro imo.
  5. Just got back from taking the dogs to the beach another stunning day in WA
  6. After passing my driving test the first time I drove in snow was aged 18 it was driving from Oslo airport to Lillehammer in a minibus carrying about 10 from memory it was a breeze.
  7. Still funny for a select 1!
  8. I'm guessing here but are you a utd man
  9. So sad that community spirit and compassion the UK has always been renown for has gone. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/homeless-man-freeze-death-tent-church-uk-weather-retford-nottinghamshire-a8236456.html
  10. Looks like things are finally looking up for you all enduring that crappy UK weather a whole 7c today, get the roof down and shorts on Met Office forecasters said temperatures could climb to as high as 7C for parts of Wales and the South West on Saturday, with rain replacing the snow that has blighted Britain for much of the past week. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/uk-weather-forecast-latest-snow-storm-emma-updates-cold-temperature-live-a8237946.html
  11. Most cyclists in the UK are quite hardy they need to be with the weather. Most people I've encountered that own a car that the roof comes down on have been twits with an a, a serious case of look at me!
  12. You should get onto the met office for issuing red and amber alerts when it clearly isn’t that bad, whilst your at get the BBC and the rest of the media to stop reporting that people have been stranded for hours on motorways , thousands of flights have been cancelled and all the other lies being spread. I need some of those rose tinted glasses you wear
  13. They have the roof down year round if you believe some of the BS posted on here, t shirt and shorts to
  14. Interesting some people find the cold spell funny!
  15. Keep safe everyone despite the ‘nothing to see here’ attitude of one or two posters the cold spell is actually real. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/uk-weather-live-updates-storm-emma-snow-ice-forecast-flights-airports-roads-traffic-freezing-met-a8236006.html
  16. Cheers I have 7 of them that flower then drop orange fruit of some sort all over the place!!
  17. Nice to see the reptiles in nature where they belong not kept in cages by idiots that like looking at them.
  18. Do you know what type of palm it is as we have the same?
  19. Sounds like a good plan just be realistic and don't rush things just to get back, having young children is hard work where ever you are we find childcare costs cheaper here to back in the UK as long as you are both working you will get a 50% rebate on childcare no such help in the UK don't know about Ireland. You'll always have commutes to deal with I have an hour each way for work doesn't bother me and it beats the 2 hr each way I had in the UK much better in sunnies with the windows down beats wipers on full speed on a grid locked motorway. Fully understand the weather getting you down we found it restrictive of what we wanted to do in the UK as you do in Ireland, having decent weather certainly makes a huge difference to us as it does for many others. Good luck with it all.
