  1. Australia doesn't seem to be suffering any of the same issues as the NHS I've found the system far superior out here, I had a 14 week wait for a Physio appointment on the NHS and have heard much worse horror stories, Oz system any day for me.
  2. This will never go away, there will never be any co operation, the divide is permanent, it a cultural divide here to stay. The root of all this terrorism (the Islamic faith) is not compatible with Western society. The Islamification of certain countries in Western Europe will continue over the next few decades and the problems will just get worse.
  3. You will probably find though these people protesting against radical Islam (and I don't know this for a fact in this instance) are from minority muslim groups like that poor chap In Glasgow where the normal run of the mill muslim travelled across the UK to stab on his shop doorstep just because he a was from a minority muslim group! WTF!!
  4. He didn't mind his prophet marrying and raping them so hardly going to bat an eyelid at a few getting blown up.
  5. I should imagine the apologists will be on the UK media soon....it's just a minority blah blah blah
  6. Only a matter of time but it's started!
  7. Just want to ask whose needs are you putting first? It sounds like yours if I am honest. We decided a while ago we wanted to bring the kids up somewhere different to the uk, moved to Oz made the wrong choice of place for our lifestyle moved back to the uk very quickly decided we had made a massive mistake moved back to Oz a few years later with 2 extra kids. It was bloody hard we both work I did fifo for the first year back but didn't like being away from the family so canned it, we've had au pairs mostly Brits on whv thankfully the eldest can cycle to and from school and the boys both do osh club now so we don't need extra care. Think about your kids without doubt they grow up slower in Oz!!
  8. You don't mention a reason for coming back in the first place? We were in a similar position but no where near the same time in Oz first stint we just chose the wrong part of Oz (Melbourne) and then family reasons pulled us back to the uk, we soon realised the uk wasn't a place we wanted to bring up a young family though and since we moved back this time to Perth have not looked back. I think as suggested earlier make a list, weigh up your options (make sure you involve the teens in all the discussions though) and good luck.
  9. I'd say this data is a little skewed most of those suburbs are the larger ones perhaps burglaries per 1000 people in a particular suburb would be a more accurate way of reporting?
  10. I work in the IT industry and don't believe there is any shortage whatsoever in that area, I have recently taken on a new desktop support officer and had over 200 applicants. Every taxi I seem to get in is driven by an Indian IT graduate, surely the skills shortage list should be very fluid and reviewed every month with roles being removed/added as as needed.
  11. Well a vote for labour will get you an extra 4 days off work a year apparently http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/jeremy-corbyn-labour-bank-holidays-general-election-2017-a7697296.html
  12. To be honest there hasn't been any 'calls for mass killing great whites' in WA bit of fake news from the Express no suprise there then. The sad death of that young lady has got people discussing how best to deal with the shark threat but definately no huge demonstrations or shark lynch mobs roaming the street from what I have seen.
  13. Wow what a vivid imagination you have
  14. Just out of interest what are your salary expectations? I'll compare to our finance manager just to see if you are being realistic.
  15. I wouldn't say WA wages have dropped at all we have recently replaced a few employees at the same wage, certainly a tighter market than a couple years ago some really quality applicants but you have to be careful to not employ an over qualified star just to have them jump ship at the first opportunity.
  16. Ding dong seems the witch isn't dead. Very clever of TS to do this now eat a little humble pie in order to tear the Labour Party to pieces, could see a slight return for the lib dems apparently 5000 new members in light of the call for an election. The wealthy will continue to get richer whilst the average working man and woman pays the price.
  17. Oh no they don't (feel like I'm in a cheesy UK panto) I have never seen the UK weather reported on since I have been in Oz
  18. Hi you are getting loads of crap answers here, without a regular oz income you will not get a mortgage.
  19. A future for the youngsters (apologies if someone has stated the obviously before me not read the other replies) ?
  20. Trust me the shire can absorb $100k quite easily I've seen a catering and wine bill for a council meeting!
  21. Knockdown price???? Friend of a friend is also selling in dawesville which would you buy? http://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-wa-dawesville-123396254
  22. If you believe in mythology then yes that is a pretty picture to paint Apparently if you are naughty you go to this place called hell, but if you are good you get to shag 72 virgins.......obviously depends on which myth you follow :dull:
  23. I hate this why should anyone have to kneel in front of someone else?
  24. Damn someone that understands a democratic process!
