  1. Yes is was was the date it was received. I was really surprised as generally it has been 8 months. Though to be far, mine was very straight forward. I have never been married before and have no children. I'm sure you don't have long to wait now. Who is your CO?
  2. Yours can't be long now. I expected end of May was surprised when I got mine last week. Mine took 7 months and 19 days. CO KP. I didn't even email the CO to prompt either. It was a great surprise to celebrate before the easter hols.
  3. Thank you both for your posts! I was wondering the same, I have just been granted my visa and was wondering when I get married what the next steps would be. Very helpful thanks.
  4. Just had my visa grant!!!! Was not expecting till May. 7 Months and 19 days. Good luck everyone.. Thank you for all your help
  5. Congratulations Bride to be !! Finally wait over. Glad to know I am not the only PMV waiting .
  6. Feeling quite anxious.... Anyone Waiting who applied July/August 2013? The waiting is torture...
  7. Hi Jen Don't worry too much. For a PMV they don't expect too much information and evidence. Evidence that you have met and are in a geninue relationship is what they want to see. I felt the same when I was putting my application together. This forum has helped me keep patience I kept thinking no contact from CO meant refusal but that is generally the case with most people if application is completed it is rare they will contact you until near the grant. I went through a mirgation company but I know for a PMV lots of people don't.
  8. I feel your pain micman... The last viewing I had on Sunday appeared very keen, agents have called 3 times and just get voicemail. Crazy thing is there is an identical house to mine down the road for £5,000 more. That is typical suggesting an asking price then stating you should reduce £20,000 that is excessive ... Ive only been in my house 15 months I just want what I paid. I'm not happy with the pics online. Hopefully my visa will be through in the next 2 months. Only thing is waiting for my house to sell. my Fiance keeps telling me not to worry. If the worst came to it then I would have to rent my house, I don't really want to I can imagine things going wrong. At least you can leave your house to sell, I worry about covering the mortgage payments... You should get your CO allocated soon it took a month for me...
  9. Hi Someday 83, I Submitted my PMV application last August, my fiance was still waiting for his divorce to be finalised it should have come through in November, but there was a few delays. It has been finalised in Court last month and he will get his confirmation in the post next week. If you know for sure it will be finalised in the next 6 months then yes. I wanted to get in the que .. I think from looking on this forum it appears to be 8 months for processing times.
  10. I don't really understand the 100 partner visa, though at least that seems more like that is the end of it. My Fiance as just bought a lush house near the beach in Adelaide. I just want my house to sell.. That is interesting my house as been up a few weeks and just had 2 viewings. Ive only been in the house just over a year. Im not looking to make any money just get back what I paid.. I just want my life to start its on hold here. There is nothing here for me.. I have been so anxious with my house like you.. I need to be more patient, if the worst came to it and the visa arrived I would have to rent. I don't want to do this, as I don't intend to come back and to me it will just be another stress. When I get there I want to concentrate on getting a job and getting married... I have my fingers crossed for you.. At least you have plenty of time.. I should have put my house up for sale a few months ago now.. Keep us posted...
  11. Hi Micman, What visa have you applied for? Ive reached the 6 months mark, patient is the frustrating word.. One which we have all had to get use to. I put my house up for sale a few weeks ago, hoping it all comes together in the next few months. As I know the earliest the visa will come is end of April. My concern is selling my house. So good to see im not the only one waiting for that to happen. Me patient it will all come together..
  12. Hi There, I feel your concerns, I am in a similar situation. I am applied for a PMV end of August 2013. Though like yourselves I am trying to make relevant plans but feel anxious without knowing the outcome. 2 factors for me are, my fiance living in Adelaide is waiting for his divorce to come through which should have been dealt with last year. Though he tells me it should come through in a months time, I have just put my house up for sale hoping I get a buyer. You have a buyer so focus on that... Like people have said as long as everything has been submitted and you have not been contacted its just the frustrating factor of waiting in the que. My case officer KP a month after me submitting she asked for stat decs which I would have provided but the mirgation company I am with told me I did not need this annoying at the time but we submitted it within 2 weeks. Submitted medical and police check in time requested and ive heard nothing since, Ive been told the only reason I would be contacted is if they wanted more information. Fingers crossed everything will work out in the timescale to get everything done. I would hope given others peoples visa mine would be granted April/May time. Timescales seems around 8 1/2 to 9 months at the moment. Your married and have children so certainly do not see any problems for you. I'm hoping for marriage and children next year No negative thoughts!!, this forum helps to keep me positive.. Our relationship has certainly been through it, so difficult being apart..
  13. Congratulations Missmontie!!! Anxious time over now enjoy.. Hope we will catch up together when I am finally there.. Fingers crossed mine will be in April May xx
  14. I submitted my visa for 300 PMV end of August 2013.. Feeling quite anxious.. Only heard from CO to provide medical and Police check heard nothing since. What are other Peoples CO's? Mine is KP... Fingers crossed most of us are half way there...
  15. Thank you for this post Laura. Just what I needed to hear.. Very true positive thinking and it will all come together with the right attitude.. I am quite new on this forum.. I am waiting for my PMV grant half way there... My fiance and cousin and Auntie live in Adelaide can't wait to move... My Fiance spent xmas with me was so sad saying goodbye to him at Heathrow last week.. We know we won't see each other again until I get the visa hopefully in the next 4 months.. Your comments are very true it is what you make it.. Really pleased for you..
  16. Hi Snufkin, I havent been on this forum for a few months. How is everything going any news on your visa? My fiance was visiting me for xmas he went back last Friday trying to keep positive.
  17. You must be excited your grant can't be far away and visiting at xmas... April seems like ages ago.. I have seen a really cheap flight to Australia £500, I was going to book it for the selected dates in March but after speaking to my partner he knows why I am eager to see him again but I should probably be patient and wait. Hopefully I may get my Visa March if not April.. Not too sure about my house though will get things underway in January. If it comes to it then I will rent like you.. Hopefully you may get your visa before Xmas. Which part of Australia will you be living?
  18. Thank you for your positive words.. I am trying to do those things. I have been fortunate to see my partner 3 times this year. Recently he was working in Norway so took the opportunity to see him a few weeks ago. I did tell the mirgration company about this as I thought it would be good as more evidence. They said they would mention it and that he is visiting me for Xmas. Though I am not overly confident they have. I don't particulary rate them at the moment. I think because my application is so straight forward, they haven't bothered much and are concentrating on more complicated applications.. I have been looking into selling my house I am thinking of putting it on the market in January. I think if it came to it and my visa came and I did not want to be waiting around then I would rent. My job will be doing down hill next year so just as well my new can begin in Adelaide.. Thank you..
  19. Hi Snufkin, Thank you for your reply.. Yes the waiting is just awful!! I don't have much support here really. I have family in Adelaide and met my boyfriend last year purely coincidently it is bizarre that of all the places he lives in Adelaide and near my family cousins and Auntie. It makes it more difficult because my parents dont want me to go so are no support. The friends I had are no longer around.. So everything I need and want is in Adelaide. I have been over twice this year, so really cant afford to go again still paying off the last trip. My partners parents live in Birmingham nearby and have always said they will have, which is really lovely of them. I am trying to keep myself busy as the more I think about it the more I get upset. Its awful not knowing, there is no reason why my visa shouldnt be approved but like most we just worry. I am 35 never married no children and work as a Probation Service Officer for Crown Court. So my application should be very straight forward. Though I have noticed application which were lodged end of August seem to be waiting longer, possibly because of the fee increase so more people were applying and new finnacial year for Aus. I am sure your grant will come very soon.. Wishing you all the best xx
  20. Just checked their website is still going. Surely with their scams it would be shut down??? To avoid anymore victims!!!!
  21. Thank you for you responses. I hope the wait for my visa is here soon. I am wondering if there is a thread to discuss preparing to move to Australia.. My only concern I have is my house. My partner is British and emigrated to Australia 23 years ago so we are not emigrating together so it is quite difficult to decide what to do regarding my house. Ive only been here a year, I am thinking the best option is to sell as if I rent the house could get damage giving more stress and cost. I don't intend to come back to the UK so I would just be preventing the inevitable. Is anyone in the same situation, as we know it is frustrating as we can't plan what to do because we have no idea when the visa will be approved. Would be great to know other peoples thoughts... Appreciated.
  22. Thank you Tooldolou.. How far are you in the process...? I have family in Adelaide which is where my boyfriend lives.. so lucky I have that.. I work as a Probation Service Officer I had looked into skilled visa but this is on the second list and not sponsored which is disappointing. Can't wait to be with my boyfriend making our plans to get married.. I have made contacts with the correctional services and other organisations all have been very welcoming so from their response I am confident I will find employment. So anxious sitting here in my house want my life to begin now..
  23. Hi There, I am new to this forum. I recently submitted my PMV end of August. Feeling quite anxious as I feel my life is on hold and can't plan anything until I know. Me and my partner got re-united last year when he came over for work. We knew it would be difficult but were prepared to be together in the end. Its been alot tougher than I could imagine. We have been lucky we have seen each other four times this year and he is visiting me for Xmas. I am a little disappointed I instructed a Migration agency as I did not want any delays or problems in my application. However I am not too confident in them, after the Case officer requested info which should have been submitted with the application. Strange when they had such great reviews.. I could have save myself £1,000 and done it myself. Fingers crossed my visa is processed soon. I am hoping so it is straight forward enough. Ive never been married and have no children. Hope to chat to some like minded people, who are going through the same stressful process.
