  1. Are you able to apply for visa if ANMAC have not sent LOD yet?, im in 14th week now to but not applied for visa because of that
  2. Hoping to submit EOI for November now was hoping would be October but seems unlikely as still waiting skills assessment (ANMAC 13 WEEKS THIS WEEK), but all organised and have a long list of everything needed and ready to upload when invite received. Just want to get started as have no patience with waiting lol
  3. Good luck Nic wow it seems to have come round quick you going, thankyou for hints tips and advice you gave was much appreciated and i for one would not be at the point i am without that.............have a great time enjoy the rest of the flight and look forward to reading an update from you. Thanks again hun tc xx
  4. OOOO YAY Pleased for you another box ticked, good to see your timeline 4/6/13 mine was the 20th so hopefully not much longer to wait. Have you requested your docs to be forwarded to aphra its easier then just forward cv and details of competencies dates how long in study for them etc and last couple of bits they need. Not that much more hassle than ANMAC from what i can see but easier as most already done x
  5. Travel chic i think it was had hers emailed but was emailed to her agent same day, you can request i suppose, no harm. From what others have said they received LOD about a week later so its on its way x
  6. Your welcome, im a nurse in the UK though have toyed with the idea of midwifery but a bit late now. As for where i will go, im open it will depend on where i get a job hopefully like yourself will try and get one before i go out or at least an agency. Areas in mind though have been Perth NSW....melbourne, victoria argh decisions. Sorry i cant help with your question but all i can say is be yourself and you will shine and hopefully your experience will show. At the end of the day there are bound to be differences but i presume on the regulatory side. From what i have read it seems more organised and a lower patient ratio and they seem to be less stressed so i would take the interview based on how you would have here and it should be a breeze. Have questions ready you want to ask and research typical questions that you may be asked, also research the hospital see what you can find out, even ring the unit why not shows initiative! they are also competency assessed as we are here ........good luck you will fly through it and sure you will do just great:biggrin:

  13. oh dear thats not good i cant offer any advice unfortunately but are you able/looking to see if another company will employ you over there? i have read many horror stories on here of the issues arise with this visa as well as some good. i hope you get something sorted soon, i know it may not feel it right now but something will work out for the better for you all....i hope anyway good luck xx
  14. Yay well done. nice to see its within original timescale...........11 weeks thats really great considering how long some are waiting. Gives me hope im 1 week behind you so fingers crossed hehe. Well done Mirmai x
  15. wish it was that easy to save that amount in years, not many would manage that even if living at home people will still have many expenses. Yes they can save but realistically life gets in the way to be so regimented. Also the bank of mum and dad for many is not a huge pot!
  16. even though they say not to email i think i would be hassling them after that fiasco at the end of the day were paying for a service, if we did not they would not be in a job. I feel for you on that one how frustrating, hope you are not back to the beginning and that you get final assessment after all if thats all there waiting for should be a rubber stamp of approval......good luck hun x
  17. oh my god thats ages, what did they lose and at what point did they tell you, surely not 19 weeks down the line thats bad!
  18. speaking, just speak as u would normally keep the ums and ars to a minimum reading, skim reading is best i can say, dont spend ages on 1 if u cant find it come back last minute, its surprising how the time flys. listening keep eye on the paper as there speaking concentration is essential keep mind clear. writing, use the question as intro but reword, middle section try to have 2 paragraphs and conclusion, add up words as u go along and only use words you fully understand and can spell. Also try not to repeat words use variation to show you have varied knowledge. Mostly just relax take in water in clear bottle only and relax............oh and look at ryan ielts on youtube he gives some great tips especially around writing which is where most people including native writers of the language lose marks. Good luck x

    Migraines

i work on a neuro ward and see it alot, all treated with meds and vary from person person. Most seem to be sumatriptan naproxen and diclofenic, they seem to be the most effective. Usually if more than 4 a month many will take daily preventative meds to help lesson the severity. Feel for you i dont suffer myself but they are debilitating x
  20. Not sure thats right, in sure its 4.5 overall needed!
  21. wooo hoooo Nic congratulations.............all systems go nw hey............all the best with your plans x

    YAY!!!!

awww the end of life in uk insight..............best wishes to u all leaving in the next few weeks, have a safe journey x
  23. Bond lol good analyzing, through myself looking at it, i see it does vary i would say an average of 3 to 5 months.....not to bad really though i have seen some in about a month....now thats quick. Like you say i think those that have been quick seem to have uploaded everything pretty much from the start, so i guess it helps. Also these people have said they never even hear if they had a case officer just heard when granted. Obviously rarer this happens but varies for everyone x
