  1. Absolutely loved reading these posts and hope to read more, but was great to see the challenges you all faced and overcame, so much admiration for you all. Certainly makes me excited at the thought of getting over there and opens my eyes to the changes but actually looking forward to them to good and bad........all stories absolutely inspirational and with many of you achieving things with little behind you, well done and heres to many more good times ahead for all of you, good luck x
  2. I have to say i had a look at the link and turned it of after a few pages..............i couldnt move somewhere based on this information im sorry. I have to live somewhere that i can see with my own eyes, walk around speak to the people, i have to get a feel for the place. If i get that feel then i would research schools etc. Cost of taxs in my opinion is a muchness everywhere and nothing you can on that one. As far as councils go you can get a good idea on services they provide to the community by visiting the area seeing what amenities are available..........I would also visit at day night, weekend as well as midweek. As for housing well you still look at the area you are happy with after visiting it and seeing if close enough to where you need to get to, if you cant afford it you cant live there end of! I have to say research is a great thing but to much of it is also a bad thing you have to go with where you want and are happy to live and instincts and feedback can only do that for you. Reasearching all areas of NSW surely is time consuming, go earlier than t=you need to if you can and travel around a bit Goodluck in your search x:biggrin:
  3. i agree with you, you need to be fully prepared for every eventuality and ensuring security of his family. The OP is actively seeking work and benefits was just one of many questions. Anishkapillai, i am in the UK early in the process of moving there so cannot advise on the job situation or your address. However i have heard of many people overseas securing work prior to arrival, so i would continue to apply and even contact company's directly, it will do no harm. You can always follow up when you are there just ensure you state clearly you have PR.Also there are many from India that are there i do not see this as an issue personally so long as your english is of a good standard, but hopefully those living there can answer that for certain. Good luck in your search and journey x
  4. I know how you feel my daughter will be 18 when i finally leave and will be the hardest thing to do and is the only thing that would change my life. However you have to look at it this way, they are adults now and they are making choice not to go, not because they dont wish to be with you but because they have a different path and plans in life. You cant always put your life on hold for the children when there at that age, the way im looking at it is hopefully my daughter will come after uni (though im continuously trying to get her to changer her mind)............your always there mum they will visit and maybe move, but there living their life and there choices in it are not going to be changed because of you. So you gain a new life path for your self husband and younger child....they all fly the nest at some point and im sure you will feel torn if still here and they left. Go for it you dont want a life of regrets nor do you want your kids to have any guilt that you didnt go because of them.......hard though, good luck x
  5. Yep pretty much the same, email to say there received then email to sat all appears in order and now passed over into queue for final assessment.....well shall just have to sit and wait
  6. 17 weeks my god thats bloody ages mine was sent 4th june and acknowledged of them 20th june, if i go by your timescale though you not had it its taking into October grrrrr.........have you rang them? i would if its taking that long but mines 8 weeks at the minute grr x
  7. hhahaha oh dear shipping someones stuff you dont know, i would be very dubious of that, never mind its illegal it would be more what you can hide inside it...........i hope noone offers to do if they have any sense. Now Australia is the other side of the world but its not an undeveloped country where you cant get a BBQ, Surley Australia is the king of bbs lol. Just seen as well your previous post about the sofas, why are you asking people and not ship things over yourself? Also the have sites such as gumtree there to get stuff, it all sounds a bit odd to me to be honest:confused: exactly what is the reason you cant get your own stuff there without relying on people taking your stuff for you? Odd very odd.........
  8. Congratulations to you and im sure you will make it what you want it to be, obviously hard work initially but thats the same with any change in it not? As for people saying your stupid mmmm are these people that dont like change, im one of these that do what i want and ignore those that are negative. There is a difference in passing on constructive criticism though! Take on all points, but you do what you want and you would not have started this journey if it was not. Nerves are natural you going to the other side of the world hehe...........take it as an adventure and enjoy the challenges eventually you will settle into life probably quicker than you expect. I wish it all you hope it to be and money cant buy you happiness.............good luck and have fun im sure and hope all works out for you tc x
  9. Hahahah thats hilarious oh he will love you lol, sounds like a good plan to me for you  i havent decided yet to be honest and made harder by never visiting the place ooops. NSW and Perth have appealed more to me from what i have researched, using my dad for info as he has been and know aus well. However will try and get a job prior and if i manage that then that will decide it to be honest. Will be good to have the security of that but im open, just somewhere where more opportunities job wise is available xx
  10. i am  so long as via applied before im 40 else i lose points.....and bloody hope its in well before as thats next june! but yes i agree on that point but at the moment things seem to be moving quick on the PR via (189/190), what im hoping to go on anyway.......when you hoping to be over there, do you know where?
  11. from that date then yours was 15 weeks, mine was received 20th june so mine would be very end of sept grrr feels like ages, was hoping to apply oct time for visa so i suppose not much difference really. Just the fact and reassurance of another box ticked, oh well heres to the continuing of checking my emails daily haha x
  12. I read the OP and a couple of replies after then had to skip to the end as i was not feeling good (face pulling as i read it) dog and cat and human flesh ohhhh god how gross. Now i love my food but right now i might just become a veggie  who on earth would or can eat stuff like this and i would not go near anyones lips if they ate it to lol
  13. Woo hoo well done Travel i think thats pretty safe to say its completed well done...........got about another 4 weeks for completion of mine.......long wait hey x
  14. From my understanding (may be wrong) i thought was only free if uni unable to provide as they dont have info, ie qualified years ago. From her post it states she will get standard transcript as we all do and quotes £25 for clinical one, that will show hours as needed for ANMAC, thats the same as i paid and was sent within a week of request.............But worth trying to get from NMC if you can x...............When did you qualify Travel as when i rang NMC they told me to get from uni as i qualified a year ago...........dont you just hate when you get told different info grrr xx
  15. awww congratulations and hey plenty go from i see in the 40s.......im 39 and feel like im starting again, bricking it but oh so much fun im sure. Well done and good luck to you x
  16. MMmmmm hard one or is it...Personally i do think there is always one person in a relationship who tends to be the driver wanting things etc. However, the other half is usually and should be happy to commit and also allow for change especially in the future, it is and should be a mutual agreement. One thing i admire her for is her honesty with you, at least you know her expectations. However, at 25 and she is still that attached to parents not wanting to move or do different things etc mmmm i would find that very restrictive as far as planning your future together. I certainly would not be planning kids yet but i would go for a 6 month trial why not.......But if your happy thats great, but from what she says she is calling the shots................And if your questioning things yourself and you certainly do and already have hesitations i would be listening to those thoughts of yours. It certainly seems your more flexible and wiser than her but if your happy and happy for her to pull the strings then good luck to you and i wish you both best xx

    freecycle

Just been watching this programme with kirsty allsop and how she transforms homes for free........god im surprised by what people give away for free. What a great way for people on little income or even when they move to Aus to get furniture. I just had a look online at the site in my area and wow im surprised. I know some people may turn there noses up at obtaining unwanted stuff and wont entertain it in there own home, but oooo i love a bargain and have to say when i need something i will check out the site. love a good bargain me, has anyone actually got some good stuff this way and had good experience in transforming there home this way?....i think its a fun and quirky way to do it
  21. have to say skimming and identifying key words is the priority you dont have alot of time to read all the text. if you get stuck on one leave it and come back to it that way you know how much time you have left and ensures you dont put incorrect answer. x
  22. ooo i believe thats a lower than average salary and roughly equivalent to about £23k. I would imagine that to be rather tight actually extremely tight especially for a family. Rental alone is not cheap at all or standard of living according to many who live over there, or are you staying/living with family as then im sure would be fine with no rent or bills to pay.....where do live now? have you researched cost of living and rentals and just general cost of food and travel? What job are you been offered, well done on that x
  23. Snap i have done the same, just hope noones copies word for word lol.........i got worried after x
  24. devise a template that incorporates the date total hours what studied and if competent or observed for cpd and attach to cv. List on your cv your skills though to and cpd will mirror it. Also refer to NHS jobs site for ideas on what to write. But i agree everyone cv will be different and not relevant to anyone really. You just have to follow APHRA template stage by stage. x
