  1. Hi All, Tony, Sandra and Luke (+ bud the dog) off to Perth in October - or sooner if possible. Sandra's meds referred 20/3/13. B graded by the docs for post natal depression - 15 years ago !!!!! Supplied GP letter before the meds were finalised in the UK. Panel doc says it should be pretty straight forward clearance. Hope this means quick. Does anyone pre screen the meds so that simple ones can be sorted early before the more complicated ones ?? Does anyone know how the whole referral process works ??? Many thanks Tony
  2. Hi Colette, I am a Degree Qualified Control and Automation Engineer currently working in the UK for BP. I worked in the Nuclear Industry for over 10 years and have over 7 years experience in Oil and Gas with BP. I have gone down the PR route and we have a CO assigned. All is ok according to the CO, just waiting for my wife's medical to clear (was referred 4 weeks ago). I will be available after the visa grant, but need to give three months notice to my current employer. Regards Tony
  3. Rupert, thanks for your input. Don't think they will mind, after all what do they have to hide ? Only asking for opinions of those who have worked for them (or know someone who has). Barnsey10
  4. Hi All, i have been offered a job with Woodside based in perth. Bit of a leap in the dark for me and the family (nice to have a job before we actually emigrate). But does anyone have any experience or know anyone who has experience of working for this company. Cheers Barnsey10

  10. Any updates on CO Assignments for Jan / Feb Lodgers ?? I'm still waiting :-(
  11. Hi, i have a software engineering degree but have worked as a Control and Automation engineer for 15 years. I had to apply to Engineers Australia via the CDR route to get my degree and skills assessed. I would assume (but dont know) that ACS (Australian Computer Society) would do the same for yourself. Good Luck !! Tony
  12. Thanks for all the replies !!! Much appreciated !!! My wife was completely honest and in this case a simple letter from the GP was enough to satisfy the panel doctor. Since there was no referral to a specialist he said that a letter stating what happened would be more than enough. Honesty is best i would say because your notes will follow you and any relapses could prove costly. Its just the delays that are starting to annoy, one thing after another. Will all be worth it in the end !!! Tony
  13. Hi, we have just got the results for our familys medicals and my wife's has been classified as B. She had post natal depression 15 years ago and had a small bout of depression 2 years ago. Neither was referred to a specialist and both times she recovered after a couple of months on a low dose of anti-depressant. Will this be a problem for our migration or will it delay the visa grant. Hardly seemed worth mentioning, but she was completely honest with the panel doctor. Help and reassurance please !!! Tony
  14. We have family and friends in WA so its a logical choice.

  18. Hi AU57EN, you need to do things in this order .... 1. Obtain outcome of skills assessment 2. Submit Expression of Interest 3. Submit Visa Application 4. Once you have the TRN (application) number you can organise medicals and PCC Please bear in mind that the PCC and Medicals time out after 1 year. Cheers Tony
  19. Congratulations, when are you heading out and where to ?? Still waiting for our CO, Medicals yesterday, PCC imminent. Tony
  20. Just Checked the EA website. Currently 19 weeks and EA take no account of the visa you are applying for. sorry ...... no quick way way out :-( Tony
  21. As far as i know EA gives a stock answer of 16 weeks for any application via the CDR route. Might be wrong though :-) Tony
