I don't think there's anywhere I wouldn't consider. Each would be an experience and you wouldn't have to stay there forever so I think I'd give anywhere a go. Not that I'm planning on moving there at the moment either.
Good luck with your surgery.
I figured out a few months ago that I've got an umbilical hernia which I've had since my first pregnancy a few years ago. A doctor confirmed it and said it's small so requires no further action. Not 100% happy with that though as I'd just like it sorted. Should I see another doc?
Both of my children have just had it. DS age 3 caught it at Pre-school then 2 weeks later DD (1 tomorrow) came out with it. Both had lots of spots but luckily are over it now though the marks are still fading on both of them. Poor baby had them in her mouth on her tongue and only slept a total of 8 hours over the first 3 nights with it. I know it's not generally a serious virus but it can be so I do wish they'd vaccinate against it here. I didn't know you can pay for it to be done privately until after they both came out with it. She's got her 12 month jabs on Tuesday she didn't half scream at the 2, 3 and 4 month ones.
I don't know what your job is so can't say if you're 'giving up a good job' but would say that you only live once so go for it. I really doubt that going on a whv will affect your chances of a job when you come back. I got my old job back when I got back from my WHV though I didn't stay in it very long as I got itchy feet and went to Spain for a while!
Good luck
Ooh it all sounds lovely and reminds me what I loved about it. I used to think I'd want to live in Brisbane but not I think I'd fancy somewhere around Sydney. As you all say the harbour is so lovely
I've had a kidney stone/stones a few years ago. Major pain for a few hours but then it passed itself, luckily. Childbirth was much, much worse though (imo), sorry. But at least you can get a lot stronger pain relief for that, if you want to.
Hope yours is sorted soon
My OH had a malignant melanoma removed from his leg a couple of years ago. Luckily it was at stage 0 but thank goodness he spotted it early (it was the year of the random October heatwave and he had his shorts on and so noticed it). He's never been a sun worshipper but usually the damage is done in childhood and he remembers burning his legs as a kid.
For the reason I will have to be very careful with my children as they'll be more at risk because their Dad has had it and they are very fair skinned, like us.
Very difficult ages for your children. If they feel like you have abandoned them then they may not ever forgive your for it. A lot of damage can be done at this age.
I agree, for me, Sydney was a great place to start. There was plenty of work, beaches, bars, sun, the harbour, bridge etc. Near the Blue Mountains too which were great
They still let the children out to play at preschool today, which I was a little surprised at, but we're all fine, no coughs. There was a bit of a sandy smell in the air this morning.
Yuk. I hate all spiders. It's the legs. My OH played a mean April Fool on me this morning and said there was a massive spider in the bathroom behind the toilet that even he was dubious about getting for me. How cruel.
From what I remember there's a shop called Priceline which is like our Boots. I remember my usual shampoo being really expensive, or thinking it was, but it probably wasn't much different just seemed it.
