1.

Thanks....yes it was a strange feeling...poor kids sometimes get it in the neck for no reason..just that I am not really feeling right..xx

2. Our local dog beach at Madora Bay....which is about 5 mins walk away....
3. Like you we are at the beach most days walking the dogs!! Kids love it winter or winter they always love running in and out the water!
4. still gobsmacked......if you are still looking for good advice then pay and go and see a migration agent and explain that you decided to apply for your visa for you and husband but didn't feel it necessary to include your baby daughter.......
5. Wow...you didn't think you would take your 3 year old daughter with you at first and now you think you might!! gobsmacked!! Any how I think you would need to re -apply...you need to speak to a professional and get advice.
6. I was born here..moved away in 1977 returned in 2009...I got a change of name certificate...which I applied for and got before we even arrived in Australia
7. It saddens me Kate that you have had to make such a post. No one has the right to make you feel that you should or need to apologise. You take the time to rest and recuperate and stuff the thoughtless gits that hassle you......let them tear shreds out of each other and have petty stupid arguments of which have no significance in the real world. xxx
8. so go online and buy it and get it shipped! I think we all know that it is more expensive here in Australia especially WA, but some of us just deal with it and get on with enjoying our life here!
9. we did self move 4 years ago..packed ourselves and we were assured that the price was to be delivered...but when it got to Perth.. we had a call from the docks...we had to pay another $3k to get our container off the docks customs clearance and delivered to our house. All of which I had been quoted for but that seemed to mean nothing. had to deal with it all myself and pay as it was costing money every day it sat dock side! Be aware and don't be fooled by them. Good luck
10. Wow Stacey....I started reading your comment and felt my hackles rise was about to get ready for battle!!! My husband is an excavator operator and works bloody hard and is very good at what he does and saves the labourers a lot of work with how he can work to grades and levels. then I saw it was you and realised you were kidding! lol
11. I order seafood of some description nearly everytime I go out..even down to scallop curries....I have not had a bad seafood/fish dish since being here....even Hogs Breathe with the kids.
12. Have to say...we eat out more here than we did in the UK. Find the curries and Chinese much better here, more authentic. The seafood also is wonderful.
13. Honestly I would say that anyone is defensive about somewhere they love and call home...be it Australia or be it United Kingdom. Its always been the same..if you are not happy somewhere the grass is always greener and you will always bring anything about that place down. We all have different views about what is important to us and what we find is bad someone else won't. Its just a shame on here it always comes down to those that think Australia is crap and UK is brilliant and visa versa...... I get defensive because sometimes some of the views are just that that poster views not fact!
14. I don't think anyone can answer your question. I for one wasn't surprised to see your post....you came...you were going back..then you stayed..then you went. I think as another poster said maybe try somewhere cheaper.
15. 4 years in after being away since 10 years old....had a rough ride at times, lost loved ones, hubby works 4/1 but overall we love it here and wish we had done it many years sooner.
16. Most schools in this area teach Japanese of Indonesian.....never heard of Greek being taught.
17. totally agree...everybody has their own opinion and what I might consider wonderful you might consider crap. It is the same with schools...get very annoyed when people critisize a place/school and have never stepped near the place so cannot make an opinion.
18. South of the river has some lovely places...Baldivis is just of the freeway and has a lot of choice, Madora Bay (where I am living at present) is about 10mins from Mandurah again is a great place to live, we are a 5 min walk from the beaches. lots to choose from South of the River.
19. No need to stay where you do not want to be..... talk to the finance company tell them you have to leave Australia, they surely can arrange for payments to be made from the UK and credit card companies definitely can. then again maybe by the time you down size...sell things you would have enough to pay most of it before your intended date.
20. Schools are not all about exam passes....and some schools will not include kids that they know will fail or get poor results, so they can be misleading. I would rather judge a school by the faces of kids going to school in the morning!! happy kids running into school..running up and giving their teachers a hug (that is primary I hasten to add!!!) is more important to me that a high percentage.
21. Hi Anyone able to help. My do s girlfriend is and lives in Austria. She is coming for a 1 year holiday to Australia. She cannot have a WHV because she is from Austria... But can come as tourist for a year. When should she apply for the e676.... does it start from application or from entry to Australia. She tried to do a dummy run on the application to see if it said but she has hit a wrong button and submitted it... Though she did not put a passport number or a date to travel. any help??? thanks sue
22. no they will be staying here with me....she can't work here so she will be bringing money with her and my son works so he will contribute for her. she can only stay 1 year. THink I will have to visit and agent.
23. haha yes Austrian....he is an Australian Citizen and she is Austrian
24. I am after some advise....let me try to explain. My son...is head over heels in love with his Austrian Girlfriend and has been for the past 2 years. He is at present on a 5 week visit to her in Austria and then hopefully in July she will come here on a 1 year holiday visa and stay with us. My question is would this 1 year of her living with us be good enough for the 12 month ruling for a spouse visa?? She cannot have a WHV as she is from Austria so only a touristy one. Any advice?? Sue
25. Sounds like he is giving up before he tries. Is he really wanting to come or is he feeling pressured. I have known a few people come here and gain employment as accountants, and have done so with not much trouble.
