Yep...Kate....happens here in Secret Harbour too...a lovely working family are unable to get PR...their just 2 months short of the 2years needed when he was laid off.....can't get another job..so they have to return to UK. Yet another family who have been to court because the kids have beaten people up get to stay! and get their citizenship. Its all wrong

Having a child is not a foregone conclusion I have a friend that was applying when we applied for Spouse visa..they had been together for 10 years.... she was aussie his was english....... married for 8 years and a 7 year old child..... refused spouse visa!!! we go ours I was gutted for them.....did appeal go no where.

try the Pantry Man or the health foods section in coles

and if a payment was made at termination...they may argue that that was you flight money.

yes sadly too many times you hear these stories and we try telling those coming on these visa's don't but still they come......

and we from down south...so definitely billy no mates!!! lol

Its that time of year again.....Perth City to Surf is on 25th August. I will once again with a very good friend be doing the 12 km walk in memory of my 4 week old baby..Jake Sonny Yuill. We lost Jake 3 years ago on the 8th April at the age of 4 weeks to SIDS. He was a healthy baby and I put him to bed that previous night but sadly he never woke up. Being only in Australia for a year and not having many friends I could have and would have if it wasn't for SIDS and Kids WA being contacted by a fellow member from this forum I wouldn't be here today. Hey I can see a very big positive of all those that say they don't like Perth and find it boring....and the one who said he loved the airport......well how about booking a flight out of Perth and making room and freeing up some jobs for those that want to be here.......sorry i usually do not snipe but come on guys its about WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT PERTH!!!!

I also would keep an eye on Golden Bay, Singleton and Madora Bay as places to settle. They are older suburbs and are more "worn in" and Singleton Primary has a good reputation too.

Hot soapy water is all that is needed and pressure sprayer for bikes and garden equipment. I forgot to empty my hoover and so it was inspected with all the dogs hair and dust and dirt and passed through with no questions....was mortified when it got unloaded the other end...the removal guys could not believe it!

How can you not love Perth!!

So sad that even when Mad Cow posts a positive post about Perth overs still have to post negative views......Perth is a great City and loads to see..even a bit of history here wouldn't you believe. Love Perth and always will!

SIDS and Kids WA - next week in support of SIDS and in memory of Jake Sonny Yuill I will be manning a stall with some amazing volunteers in Secret Harbour Shopping Centre....Monday through to Firday......come along and buy some goodies to help save babies lives.

we did it with $19,000....family of 5, flights were 3 adults and 2 children (eldest was 14 so an adult fare) , we stayed in a holiday rental for 6 weeks, bought 2 cars and shipped a 20 foot container.. we didn;t run out of money as husband was able to find work within 2 weeks....we still had money left for about 3/4 months.

from other sites and forums the thing people just don't seem to be doing is research!!! They arrive here and then gripe that they can't get a job in their trade as they are not qualified here!! Surely if you are moving to the other side of the world you would research research research!!! too many people want everything done for them.....and that includes others getting them a job in the mines!
