EXCELLENT NEWS !, i had a feeling you would pass as i felt the same after my skills assessment. I decided to go with my original job offer once I attended other interviews, whilst in the UK and applying for visa, although I had a job offer Iwas still applying for positions that came up in our industry and sending plenty of emails and sending my CV to all security companys I could find on google, I did not want to rely on one employer as he did wait for me for almost 10 months!. 4 weeks into it and it's all going great, there so relaxed and easy going it's unreal, I start anytime from 6am in the morning, do 8 hours then go home! they re very big on the whole 8hours work, 8 hours play and 8 hours sleep a day rule! If any of you guys have used Aritech ATS, and find it completely annoying as i did, you will not be too happy to find out it's Oz's biggest alarm panel, they call it Tecom (Challenger), the keypad looks different but its just the same. There are no fused spurs over here ! everything just plugs in like a wall socket, which I found very strange considering we fit securoty equipment which should'nt be easily un-plugged or simply turned off! I live in Heathridge very close to Joondalup in Perth, if any of you guys are headed over here let me know s my employer may be interested. Keep in touch lads as its good to hear others getting on well.

Hi peeps, I am flying to Perth next Thursday and a friend of mine has asked me to take some dairy chocolate over for him. Will I have any problems getting this into Oz? I have bought some cadburys milk tray and some fruit and not whole nut bars, was this a waste of time?

Hi Pal Not been on poi for a while, got loads to sort out, lol. How's your skills assessment coming on? I think it took around two weeks after the interview to get the email saying successful.

Holy Cow! How quick was that! I submitted my mothers visa and it was granted in approx 1 and a half mins! Wish they were all like that, lol. Thanks very much for your help.

thanks for that, would my mother have to undertake all the same medicals that we have had to take? Its ver confusing as it also says the maximum time there allowed to stay is 3 months, is this the correct visa? We need something very cheap and pretty quick, is it possible to get a visa for 6 months for my mother without any medicals or at least very little?

Hi all poi helpers. You have all been so good to me and helped me through the whole process of my 189, I am flying to Perth on 13th June and cannot wait. My wife and children are following in a couple of months and I was hoping my mother could come with them on a tourist visa. I expect my motjher to come to Perth mid August and was hoping she could stay for xmas before leaving, is there a tourist visa which is simple to get where this is possible? I would greatly appreciate any info and especially links to the site where I can applky for the visa.

VISA GRANTED TODAY YIPPPEEEEEE!!!!!! Hi all, We got the grant today and were not expecting it so soon after referred meds. Although I was not expecting it, this has not stopped me from checking my emails regardlessley everytime I wake up, lol. Best of luck to all those still waiting, it does happen!!!
