Hi .. I came to Australia on a 175 visa in 2014 and worked for 6 months in the mines. For many reasons we moved back to the UK, am I able to claim back the superannuationon that I paid or a tax return for that year?

Hi After moving to Perth on a 175 visa (pr) 5 months in we decided to move back to the UK. I was a fife worker and paid a lot of tax and superannuation... am I entitled to any of the tax and superannuation I paid as I was only there for a few months? I heard that if you surrender you pr you are entitled to it back?

Been here 4 months , took a fifo job in the mines... Basically we feel that the place is too expensive for us to live here indefinetly. Got quoted a mortgage for 388k and told it was 530 a week over 30 years... thats 826,800 we would pay back! In other words we pay 16 years interest on that mortgage and its every week... just 1 example. I took a car on finance.. if i surrender the car back to the finance company will it affect my credit ratingin Oz and the UK? Yeah the weather is better here.. the place looks pretty but before we moved here I believe my family were better off back in the UK.

wouldn't you be recognised as a carpenter? I think theres a market here for sliding wardrobes.. every show home you go into has them.

Hey, just arrived on Monday from the UK on a 175 visa. Where in Perth can I get a visa label in my passport?

Scottish family... flight booked for January 3rd. Im going to be working FIFO. My wife and 2 daughters (9 & 3) flying out Feb. Would be great for us, especially my wife to meet up with fellow Scots... looking at moving to Butler / Yanchep. Any thoughts on Yanchep??

I am also a carpenter and had to do my assesment through vetasses. I went through a migration company that arranged this for me. I had to travel to preston to do the assesment and im sure it was around £750. Its fairly straight forward a pitched roof and a wooden tressle to mak It is a long process and expensive. Im trying to gather information at the minute regarding woek before we move across as we heard there may be a recession next year and work is slowing down. If it were me id go for the year first
