Guest AndyH78
With regard to both April applicants, one of them was a 176, not a 175, I think 176's always have been processed more quickly haven't they? So not reading too much into it. As regards processing applications in order, I'm of the belief that they get randomly split into piles, allocated to teams and processed in order of whoever is on top of the pile. So we are at the mercy of whether or not we have an efficient case officer, or one who spends their days on internet forums...... ahem.... Im a 176 Family though not state sponsored so exactly the same as 175. Though completely agree with your second statement about that fact there its all about how the applications get batched and not to do with what type of occupation as Jayzlet is an Accountant and I'm a ICT BA though both applied same week and both have same Team, and might even have same CO! Guest DCAL
DCAL, I'm also an Accountant from England, and I applied a month before you both! Yes and your month has more then likely gone to another team. I think they allocate applications on a weekly basis, and so application batches will be dealt with at different speeds and not dependent on application profession. Guest waitingtogotooz
28th or 18th? Honestly dont worry! If it goes beyond the 10 working days just send them an email, thats what I did when I didnt get OH's back - they responded within a couple of hours. Well, I've had to check it about 5 times as I didnt believe what I was reading.....my meds have finalised. I did provide 3 or 4 recent letters from my Specialist but was half expecting them wanting more. So pleased. We did send our police checks off over a week ago using the online attaching facility but haven't received any sort of acknowledgement so I'm not sure if they got there ok. Might send them again via an attachment to an email so that I can also ask if there is anything else they need  Who is going to be next for the grant then? - there's a few of us ready for grant now. Mandy x oops 18th i meant. Think im going a bit :goofy: and CONGRATULATIONS, you must be getting so excited now.

Guest DCAL
Wow, so medicals are booked for Saturday with The Bridge Clinic in Maidenhead. Have to say that the service so far is amazing from them. I sent the forms of yesterday to them, they called back within a few hours and asked we could make today but unfortunately it was to short a notice so booked for Saturday. Now have to explain to my daughter that theres no Ballet for her this Saturday......me thinks a trip to Toys R Us to bribe her is whats needed. Police forms completed, and just need to get endorsed and sent. Wow, this is a bit of a mind rush......all those months waiting and now rushing to get it done! I cant imagine what it was like for those who applied in 2008/2009.

Thanks:smile:, i rang my agent first thing to tell him the news and so he knows to look out for an email form our CO, as it says on line that our form80, PCC and medicals were requested. Not sure if i should go ahead and book medicals now or wait for the email from our agent. I keep skipping about laughing and smiling like a crazy person:wacko: i am seriously taken aback:swoon::hug:
Bpremji
Guys, Bit of advice needed....due to the recent speed that DIAC seem to be processing us Cat 4'ers Im very tempted to get my medicals done, whats everyones opinion considering Im a June 2011 applicant? I called the Spire Hospital in Sutton Coldfield yesterday and they can see us next Saturday (29th October), lady on the phone said it will take 7-10 days for the results to be uploaded so looking at mid November before they reach DIAC's systems. Main reason I want to get them done is with the Christmas period fast approaching everything is bound to slow down here in the UK, with holidays and potentially the dodgy weather we are told we may be getting. If anyones interested the Sutton Coldfield hospital has appointments for next week, they dont seem to be overly busy whereas the Handsworth one dont have any appointments for 2 weeks. Reagrding the costs, Sutton Coldfield are a little more expensive coming in at £760.50 for 2 adults and 2 children whereas Handsworth are £710. mandymark
Its really up to you but personally I would wait until you get a CO. Without meaning to put a dampener on it, we were in this position just over 2 years ago, had our meds booked & were at the final stage til DIAC pulled the rug from under everyone. We reckon we were within a couple of weeks of getting a CO then. Like you say, the clinics aren't too busy so you could get the meds done within a week or so of getting a CO. I know Tania had to re-do all her meds as they'd expired. Over £700 would be too much for me to risk. Mandy
jayzlet
We sent the police checks on the 28th special delivery (guaranteed next day) As of yet no email Hmmm... I sent mine on Friday 14th, and just emailed them to say to ask if they received it... they said they haven't, which is strange as I sent it first class! I think I'm going to have to send again! MAybe you should email them to check they have yours too?

I recon at current speed you will have a CO by Dec if not sooner. The call from our Panel Doctor is proof their not that busy as they wanted to get us in within 24 hours... We are thinking about booking medicals as well, not really sure though. We should have had a CO about three weeks ago, compared to the other feb11-applicants, but still nothing. We want to book medicals to try to speed things up and to be able to do something apart from waiting.

I would wait for next weeks update and then take a view. If they ask you for other evidence other than then Meds/PCC then this could take more time. I believe the next update will be close to February if not in February at which point you can raise a PLE. I recon the next update will be on Wednesday next week. DIAC seem to always buy themselves a few extra days in between the updates. So 26th is my guess. I heard on another forum that Reflex has a CO. Can anyone else confirm this?
