  1. How fun hearing from everyone! I stayed in Sydney for 4 years fell in love with and married an Aussie! We then moved to LA 3 years ago and started our family! I think of Australia as home now and we come back at least once a year! I love LA bit would love to bring up my daughter back inn aus! Xx
  2. Going for good!!! (though I did book a return flight to come home for a wedding in June!) it's all so exciting but also a bit unnerving now! Mixed emotions now it's finally sinking it what it all means! X
  3. Great post Soph... really useful to read 1st hand experiences x I'm sure it's not a walk in the past but it definately is worth it!
  4. Eek! House is on the market and flight is booked!!! This is actually happening! xxxx
  5. Congrats Tania!!!! You soooooo deserve it, I'm sure it has been well worth the wait! xxx
  6. CONGRATS DCAL!!! :wubclub:
  7. Sorry you were rejected.... but at least you can get the 175 one now and that wll give you way more flexibility  We applied for a 175 11 April this year and our visa was granted 7 November so literally just under 7 months! So stay positive, it will happen and your dreams will come true... :wubclub:
  8. That's good... was that direct with Singapore airlines? Do you just call them and tell them you're a migrant to get the one way fare? Maybe it's cheaper as you are going to Perth? I just want it all organised and to go now!!!
  9. <p><p><p><p><p>Cool Avatar!!</p></p></p></p></p>

  10. I just had a really good quote from them... £650 with 40kg... a return is about £1150. I am planning on coming back in June though for a wedding... so don't know whether to get a return now and a one-way later? What other airlines offer competitive one way fares? I've tired to ring Quantas a few times, but can't get through!
  11. Congratulations to you all! That's great news! I hope it's been well worth the wait! I think there's going to be lots of grant's this week!!! :wubclub:
  12. I have a question.... I was planning on going to Oz a couple of months before my husband to get a job, find us a place to live etc. while we're still getting some income from him in the UK, is that ok? I know on here people have said that it's ok for the primary applicant to enter first, but my friends who are there already said they both had to enter togther. Does it say on their website somewhere? It doesn't say anywhere on the grant info they sent me through..? Thanks
  13. Yay.......... so I woke up to an email from my CO... visa granted!!!! Soooooo happy... we can start making plans for our move! I hope everyone else in the waiting room isn't too far behind!!! xxx
  14. Haha... I have joined the compulsive checking club too... it is actually rediculous... especially as it is the night/weekend in Oz and nothing is going to change! Let's all hope we get our grants next week!!!! Good luck to everyone and have a lovely weekend! xxx
  15. Yayyyyy....... my hubs meds have been uploaded too now!!!! Looks like we're in the waiting room!!!!!! xxxxxx
